Afternoon roaming
I drove over to the Shiawassee National Refuge again today. Today I was walking on the maintenance trail this time. I have never tried this trail before. I was hoping to see the large turtles again. It is a warm day and @rockingred52 keeps finding turtles, so I thought I might get lucky.
I did get lucky, but not in seeing the wildlife I was looking for. A deer ran across the trail about a 100 feet in front of me. It is the first time I have ever seen a deer while walking here, ever! I only caught a small glimpse of him and he shows right of center, about even with those logs laying down. There is a light brown patch there. He was still for a second but was moving by the time I got the camera up. 🙁
After that I headed north and caught this Huron & Eastern train heading from the Saginaw yard to Bay City Michigan. I saw a H&E car on the street next to the tracks pace him, and then zip up ahead and stop.
I drove past the car and did not watch, I assume maybe they had some new train orders to hand off. It is a very warm (84F / 29C) afternoon and I am staying inside now.
That’s enough running around for one day. 😂
Happy Wednesday!
