Soooo a few months back I asked my followers on my main account to send me character requests, and I said I’d doodle six of them. I didn’t forget about those requests!! It just took me until now to finish them, oops 😅

Pokemon Headcanon: Hanairoshipping

Hanairoshipping - Erika (Celadon) & Daisy (Cerulean)

I’ve mentioned things about Daisy in here so I’m just going to expand a little bit more:

Daisy is still considered to be one of the four Cerulean City Gym Leader - usually second in command to her youngest sister, Misty. She takes over when Misty is busy with some other stuff, such as her own family in Pallet Town. Daisy is also the one who would accompany Misty to Gym Leader/League businesses. She first started going with Misty to the Gym Leader/Leagues meetings right after the events of May Oak’s death (see here) - which honestly was a while ago.

Back then, Misty caught on to the fact that Daisy was very troubled, though not knowing what it was that was troubling her exactly. So she figured she’d bring Daisy along to these meetings since she is also technically the Cerulean City Gym Leader too. It was during the meeting that Daisy was introduced to the other gym leaders, though she was still hung up on May that she was reluctant to really converse with anyone, or even be her usual social butterfly.

Every meeting she’d accompany Misty and it did help her get her mind off of things since she and Misty would discuss about funds and other important stuff and so forth.

After Misty had gotten married and given birth to Ashley, she ended up too busy taking care of her own family that Daisy ended up going to the meetings alone - which was find since she had already felt familiar with the other Gym Leaders, old and new. It was nothing that she couldn’t handle by herself.

It was also this moment where Erika, the Celadon City Gym Leader, first talked to Daisy. They’ve talked before, but something felt different with the way Erika was talking to her.

Erika on the other hand, had instantly fell head-over-heels for Daisy when she first laid eyes on her many years ago. Except it was hard to really try to talk to Daisy, not because she was incredibly enamoured by the blonde, but it was because Misty was always there. It’s hard trying to flirt with your crush when their sister is right there. So when Daisy came to the meeting alone, she took this chance to put the moves on her.

Lots of people in the circle knows that Erika is most definitely a lesbian and has in fact, put the moves on a few of the female Gym Leaders in Kanto and Johto. Sometimes even other Gym Leaders from different regions - though that would usually require her to leave her Gym. Though that’s where vacation comes in so it’s probably not that bad. Daisy knows of Erika’s lifestyle outside of the Gym, but was completely flustered and awkward when Erika was A Class flirting with her. Daisy didn’t really know what to do because she has never experienced this before in her life! She was always with May during her younger years, crushing on her best friend, and even after May’s passing, Daisy never really did anything else like dating and whatnot. So this was completely new territory for her.

Erika definitely picks up on Daisy’s panic and finds it completely endearing. Everyone else was about to leave and go back to their hotel rooms and Erika basically ends up giving Daisy her Pokegear number (GET IT GURL!!!!)

Daisy, still shocked and in disbelief of what had just transpired, went back to her hotel room and basically didn’t sleep a wink that night. She ended up calling Misty at 3 AM in the morning frantically freaking out about what happened between her and Erika. Misty, who is REALLY REALLY sleepy, just grumbles that Erika’s always like this and that she should just go for it before hanging up.

The next morning (everyone else in the lil circle gets to have a week to just relax at the resort they’re staying at since League/Gym Leader business have been settled and whatever), Daisy plucks up the courage to talk to Erika but keeps flubbing her words and literally almost bit her tongue. Like this is not the usual Daisy that everyone is used to. The confident Daisy Flowers rendered into nothing but a flustered cute mess because of Erika Fujisaki. Erika, again, finds Daisy absolutely adorable and just keeps on flirting with Daisy like there’s no tomorrow. It goes on like this for the rest of the week before they all have to fly back to their respective homes. (Daisy also ends up giving Erika her Pokegear number too)

Lily and Violet welcomes Daisy back home and asked if anything interesting happened, Daisy just shook her head and gave them the usual reply of “just like, boring ol’ Gym Leader stuff. Like nothing to worry yourselves with.” and kINDA OMITS THE DETAILS OF ERIKA HITTING ON HER b/c she still doesn’t believe it actually happened. Misty’s also at the Gym and noticed that Daisy didn’t bring up Erika to their two other sisters and figured that Daisy was just too embarrassed and would ask her about it when they’re alone.

So they’re alone and Misty’s just like

“So big sis, how’d things go with Erika?”

and Daisy - who by the way, was drinking her coffee - juST DOES A SPIT TAKE LIKE OH GOD MISTY WHY’D YOU BRING THAT UP

so Daisy’s just, coughing b/c fuck. Looks at her baby sis and is like “I-I don’t know what you mean!”

but Misty’s giving Daisy this look that’s liek “you called me up at 3 in the fucking morning talking about how Erika was fucking hitting on you. don’t you fucking tell me there’s nothing happening”

and Daisy kinda caved and told Misty everything that happened during that week and Misty’s just like, humming and thinking and is all

“you should definitely go for it. It sounds like Erika has the hots for you - which from an outsiders point of view, is understandable because you are, very hot” and is so nonchalant about it too????? then she gets a call from Ashley and Gary and goes over to talk to her fam jam

Daisy’s left to her own thoughts and it’s a jumbled mess b/c again, she’s never experienced anything like this before???? this is all too new to her???? that night she just looks at her Pokegear and Erika’s number that she has in her Pokegear, trying to wonder if she should call, or send a text, or anything. She ends up sleeping and in the morning, she gets a text from Erika and it’s just like

“morning cutie :)”

and Daisy just flips her shit. she’s red in the face, totally embarrassed and totally happy on the inside b/c fuck this is so amazing like god damn.

they end up texting and calling each other for a long while. Lily and Violet ends up knowing about Daisy and her relationship with Erika and hounds her for questions. Misty just sits back and smiles b/c her big sis deserves to have some happiness in her life.

One day, Erika visits Daisy in Cerulean b/c she’s taking some time off from her Gym to do a bit of redecorating. And this was during a showing of one of their underwater ballet show. Erika gets tickets and watches the show, admiring how amazing, beautiful, and talented Daisy is for being able to act and direct and even produce such a big project????? Once the shows over, Erika goes to personally find Daisy and Daisy’s just shocked?? b/c holy fuck what’s Erika doing all the way over here??? what about her gym?????

Daisy ends up a blubbering mess, again. And Violet and Lily are there to watch everything unfold and kinda lowkey laughs b/c shit, this woman is able to make their big sister show a completely new side of her that no one has ever seen before that’s amazing. she’s defs a keeper. So the two of them leave Daisy and Erika alone.

Daisy, still blushing and nervous, just exclaims that she’s happy Erika is there. Erika, who is completely in love with Daisy now, basically confesses that she loves her and wants her to be her girlfriend. This, again, takes Daisy aback b/c holy shit what just happened??? Erika smiles, gives Daisy a cherry blossom flower origami and leaves. Daisy, is still shocked.

Daisy ends up thinking about Erika’s proposal for the rest of the week (Erika had already gone back to Celadon). Misty notices Daisy and her cherry blossom origami and asks if she’s decided on anything yet; like if she’ll date Erika or not. Daisy was just like “how did you know about that!?”

which Misty calmly replies with “Lily and Violet”

Daisy grumbles something about how those two love to gossip, but pushes that away to talk to Misty about everything b/c again, everything is so new for her! Misty tells Daisy that she knew about her feelings for May, and how distraught she was for losing her. Misty only wants what’s best for Daisy, she wants her to be happy. She’s been taking care of her, Lily, and Violet for so long that she hasn’t really gotten a chance to really take care of herself? Like, Daisy has been the mother figure to the three of them for years. They’re all older now. Misty just wants Daisy to enjoy the rest of her life free of worry for her younger siblings. It was a very long, passionate, speech from Misty. Daisy thanks Misty and they go to bed.

The next morning Daisy decides to visit Erika in Celadon to answer her question (the gym was left for Misty, Lily, and Violet - who were all cheering for Daisy).

At Celadon, Erika was finishing up the finer touches of her newly remodelled gym and was very surprised to see Daisy there (it takes Daisy about 2 days or so to reach Celadon if she left super early in the mornings). It was Erika’s turn to be taken aback - b/c after not hearing from her for a week, Erika assumed that Daisy wasn’t interested in her offer. But she was wrong!

Daisy confesses that she has never felt like this ever since she lost her best friend and the love of her life all those years ago. She has never gone on dates, she’s never had a girlfriend, she was always taking care of her sisters and she never really got a chance to do anything for herself? She’s never experienced all of the things Erika has been giving her before? It’s all new to her and she’s scared. However, after spending time with Erika, talking to her and getting to know one another, Daisy has come to really like her too? She wants to know more about her? She wants to know what makes her tick, her favourite foods, her passion, if she had any siblings, and so forth. She makes this long speech about how she probably does also feel the same way for Erika that she does for her?

“If you’ll have me, I’d be glad to be your girlfriend.”

Erika, who for once, was literally startled b/c no one has ever made such a heartwarming speech to her before? She chuckles, cups Daisy’s face (note: Daisy is much taller than Erika in my hc ok, Daisy’s like 5′7″ and Erika’s 5′4″) and has her lean down. Daisy’s like ok she leans down and then Erika just smooches Daisy on the lips. It lasts for a couple of seconds. They pull away, Erika’s smiling so beautifully and is all

“I’m so lucky to have such an amazing girlfriend like you.”

and Daisy’s just blushing so hard b/c crap that actually happened. Like this is a thing that is happening! She’s so happy, elated even! She has a girlfriend! Her very first girlfriend!

and then they smooch again
