Re-reading the b2w2 arc after 5+ years and omg the way i screamed at this panel

The way she didn't leave HIM. The way she made sure he was okay, despite how he made her feel a few chapters back (realizing he was only nice because he wanted to use her for his goal).

SHE MASSAGED HIM DESPITE NOT WANTING TO BE TOUCHED BY HIM BEFORE, JUST TO UNFREEZE HIS BODY.

Say what you will about how these two can be toxic to one another in canon. That Lack-Two is a menace and should not deserve Whi-Two in any way (and don't worry, I agree)...

But this. This just takes the cake for me, and I think this is why I ship these two despite Kusaka's open defiance to give us a proper plot between them. Whi-Two is supposed to be the "criminal" here while Lack-Two is the "enforcer" (of the law), yet somehow, time and time again, Whi-Two shows that her ideals and values are what's supposed to be strived for because it results in people actually being saved. Lack-Two on the other hand, walks with this blind ideal of holding up what's systemically correct—something he only LEARNED thru lessons and not necessarily through experience, and, more often than not, he ends up causing harm (either to Genesect or the people around him) trying to uphold these ideals.

I just wished these two ended up working together more, with Lack-Two's flawed ethical standards slowly being questioned and destroyed from the ground up the more he stands next to Whi-Two. I've seen pokespe do it time and time again, so why couldn't it have been done for this arc.

B2W2 breaks my heart tbh. It had the capacity to be one of the best, with all these parts being set up to move, and these thematic dilemmas being laid out. But at least we have scenes like these that people like me can deep read like a mad man. The canon Lack-Two and Whi-Two relationship is not necessarily the best (especially if stood against the agencyshipping of it all), but gems like these are what make it really worth exploring. At least for me.

It's Solar, back again with a brand new blog! It's Blake! Slight change from the base canon... he never got reinstated. Because he definitely doesn't need that. So, following his official appearances, he went after a notorious thief in Kanto... and wound up getting adopted, under the pretense of being undercover. He doesn't care if that's made up. He's using that story, even if nobody else there wants him to keep putting himself at risk. He's still figuring out his emotions, and struggles to read people... but he's slowly getting there, over the course of the blog.

Main three muses are Blake, Blue and Silver!

Blake is fine with any pronouns, but predominately goes with he/him as a default, since it's just easier for him.

For our newest specord event called "Fairytales and Folklore", I drew a piece for Lack-Two based on the Scottish folklore of the water kelpie.

In the past days of Crown Tundra, there lived an Alpha Keldeo that people called the water kelpie. It was known to lure children on its back on the shores of lakes. But once the children touched it, their hand would get stuck and Keldeo would dive deep underwater, and the children were never to be seen again. A young lad named Lack-Two has found himself being dragged down to depths... But maybe he can still make it, who knows?

So. With arc one on my ruby blog (@cardinal-contest-king) complete, I'm heavily considering making another blog. Because I have so many pokespe characters i like that I can't fit on one blog.

Idk if its "too soon" to do get another one after like.. a week or two though

I WANT TO but like I also don't want it to like. End up getting forgotten about like my Black blog. (@blackdreamsoftruth) i do intend to go back to that one, but Ruby's took off sooo much faster and easier, so I lost motivation for Black's, despite me having a couple arcs planned for it...

Generally I just wanna know if there'd actually be any interest. Because if I make another rp blog I don't want it to end up getting absolutely nothing for it, y'know?

So: onto who the blog would even be about! Some of yall might already know since I reblog a few posts about em last night... but it's gonna be on Blake/Lack-Two! Because I think he's really interesting, complex, would be quite fun to write with just how blunt he is, and I think he absolutely deserves some spotlight (and therapy) since I doubt pokespe will return to him anytime soon.

But at the same time he's very niche. So. Idk if it'd be worth all the effort.

So uh, would anyone actually be interested in that? Because I reallllyyy want to. But as I said before... if there's not an audience for it, then what's really the point?
