It's the second anniversary of Pokémon Kaleidoscope's comic run on this day, June 29th 2026! Yaaaay!! So here's some art again. I got much less pages and chapters out the past year compared to the first, but I finished volume 1! Which is a big milestone, yaaay! And I got over the 200 page mark too!

Chapter 11 of Pokémon Kaleidoscope is here!

This chapter is a lot shorter than normal to balance out the previous super long chapter. And also for pacing reasons.

I got this idea for a cover and I kinda went all in haha. I'm very happy with how it looks! Look back at it after the chapter ends and see if you can catch some symbolism : )

Btw those weeds aren’t just random, one of the reasons I traveled all the way to Long Island was to research its flora as well, so those are all plants that can be found over there growing among rocks along seashores :) I just don’t know what they’re called haha.

Anyway, this is also the end of Volume 1, so like I said before we're gonna have a little break now so that I can catch up with buffers. Chapter 12 is about halfway done at this point, so I think a three month break will be enough. So Chapter 12 will release on August 29th at 9 P.M. UTC +3! See you then!

Also, starting with Chapter 12 in August, there will be a change with the release pace on ComicFury: chapters will be released page by page twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, at least for the time being. Webtoon and tumblr will remain unchanged and ahead of ComicFury.

Chapter 10 soon + new "Cast" and "The Story So Far" sections on website

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce that Chapter 10 will finally be released one week from now, on April 11th at 9 p.m. UTC +3! To fresh out everyone's memory after the long break, I've also added new sections for the website: "Cast" and "The Story So Far", which is a summary of every chapter released so far. Cast can be found in the navigation bar while the story summary is tucked away in the About section. I'm not gonna promise I'll update them after every single chapter but I'll try to!

Good news! My wrist is better now and I've started working on the next chapter again.

I realized during my break that I really did skip too much of the story between chapters 7 and 8, so here's a short segment to make that right. And I figured it's nicer to get 4 pages now that there's still a lot of work left to be done for chapter 10. This takes place between Jaylee and Aven visiting the library and them setting off for the police station the following day.

I will be prioritizing finishing chapter 10 next over working on storyboards or buffers. But that does mean I'll have to take another short break later this year to rebuild my buffer. But that will be after "volume 1" is done, which will be soon. I will be giving a one week heads up on twitter, bluesky and tumblr before chapter 10 releases.

When that chapter is out, I will be moving ch 7.5 to the right spot in the story on comicfury and webtoon.

Gosh if we don't count the sketchbook doodles from last year, it's been almost three years since I last sat down to sketch with a pencil on paper. And now it feels like I can finally draw in my new style on paper too. It used to be a bit hard.

Anyway, my wrist. Is still not great. I should really start swimming again, that would help a lot, but I've been tired plus I got sick again.

Aka I don't know when I'll be able to release the next chapter of Pokémon Kaleidoscope :( Not in February at least, like I had hoped. New goal is before summer 2026. It's still not as bad as 7 years ago, but I'm a bit afraid of trying out drawing rn. Also I moved so I haven't set up my computer yet anyway since I got sick at a bad time. But I got a new pc :)

Next update won't be until at least February 28th due to a wrist flareup of mine :( I will give an update around new years if the situation isn't progressing. I have some ideas for what else I can be doing with Kaleidoscope in the mean time in case I need to take a longer hiatus.

Release of chapter 8 of Pokémon Kaleidoscope!

This time I colored the chapter cover just because I wanted to. I don't really draw much outside of this comic anymore, so to not make my life so monotone, I will probably color these chapter covers more often. They're not all gonna be as complex as this and the last one though, haha. I just draw whatever I have an inspiration and time for.

Anyway, this is a rare case of a chapter cover showing something that actually happens in the story immediately between chapters. I was just really having a hard time fitting this in the story. But yeah there's a change of date between chapters 7 and 8. Jaylee is taking some time to wash her clothes in between her evening routine. My comic's Pokémon Centers offer a lot of utilities to traveling Pokémon Trainers, this little laundrette room being one of them.

My fancomic Pokémon Kaleidoscope officially turns one year on this day - June 29th 2025! Yaay! So here’s some art to commemorate. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for reading my webcomic so far! Of course, Kaleidoscope’s journey goes back a little bit farther than this, though - I first revealed the project and Jaylee’s design back in 2021 on February 2nd. So it’s really been over four years for me, wow!

Looking back on the past year, I got 132 pages in 7 chapters out because I updated again just before the anniversary. And I stayed on my update schedule for the whole year! I’m not going to lie, I’m very proud of myself since I’ve never done a project this big before :>

So let’s hope next year and after that go well too!

Here's my art summary for 2024! OCs are taking over ahahaha. I actually didn't draw any new spe art at all this year, gasp, just recolored one old art. Also I put all of these in the months that I actually drew them in even if they got published later (or not even out yet for November one which is for chapter 5 of Pokémon Kaleidoscope!)

I don't think I've ever drawn this much in my life within a single year.
