Trainwreck

With only one day left until Meet I, we had an all hands on deck final preparation session today.  Despite what we thought might happen, the session started with a horrible recognition, we can not apply our game strategy as originally designed due to a rules infraction . . . and competition is tomorrow!  Lesson learned, re-read the rules and the Forum FAQ and check them continuously in case of doubt.  That stings a bit.  

At the same time programming was a real problem today as the sensors were not being recognized nor, as we later figured out, was out interface board.  This is a REAL problem.

What do you do when all seems to be stacked against you with hours until competition?  Simplify.  We eliminated our sensors and their related functionality.  We eliminated our debris collector and linear slide to avoid possible penalties and ensure more consistent driving during competition.

While we will now enter Meet I far less prepared than we originally thought, we hope it is enough to keep us competitive in IL North League East Division.
