Lights, Camera, Distraction!

"... That should just about cover things here. On to the next dimension!"
Mags hit "STOP" on her audio log recorder and lay back in her cot with a contented sigh. Another dimension mapped, around... a still undetermined amount to go. She wasn't one to get discouraged though. Even if cartography would always be her first academic love, she liked to think of herself as something of an amateur anthropologist as well - all those uncharted dimensions just meant she had so much to learn still!
And learn she would. An alarm signaled that her self-imposed five-minute break between dimensional jumps was over(had it really been that long already?) and it was time to get back to work. Hauling herself upright she retrieves the Dimensionator from its place next to her cot and begins punching in codes for the next dimension. After a few attempts at brute forcing it she finally entered a viable set of coordinates: 27t56. Destination locked in, she charged the Dimensionator, fired, and was swept into the resulting rift with a yelp.
Mags wondered if she'd ever get used to that.
