My 42km journey
I am now in my week 2 day 2 of training to be a marathoner. I was interviewed by Dukot Center last Saturday. Fun date on line with them. It was a blast.
So happy to received my new garmin watch. Garmin 245. It gives an accurate reading on heartrate and miles compared to my old watch vivoactive 3
My 6th day on my road to 42km and be officially called a Marathoner. It is cross training day so I joined the zumba and work out at TwinGym.
My 42km journey
Week1 Day 4
Doing an aerobic run for 30 minutes is quite a challenge. I need to do it more to help my body learn how to prevent lactate buildup. Still got a lot of things to learn about running. Knowing about you VO2 is also great. At my age with a VO2 of 25 is okay.
After my run I love doing the ABC drill. Helps a lot with my running form. Good running form helps speed you up.
Week 1 Day 3
My 42km heartrate training
Still disappointed with the outcome of my Davao International Marathon placing 300 out of 600 runners.. so here I am..going solo. On my day 3.. my sked is for a 40 minutes cross training. Did a 20 minute run on treadmill for my pacing and my regular 20 to 40 squats, barbel, situps and other gymwork. It did help alot with this depressing frustrating feeling. Need to forget about this half and train for the Iron Girl run for march 24
Starting my 42km heart rate training. I might or may not run a marathon.. but having a structured training program helped me a lot in my runnings. My day 2 on my first week coincide with my recovery run after a half marathon.
