17 year-old Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott (Joey BadA$$) is unlike all of contemporaries. In the present hip-hop climate, young rappers, such as Earl Sweatshirt tend to use verbose languauge to catch the attention of today's youth. As young as they are, Jo-Vaughn and his art collective Progressive Era (Pro Era) still clinge to the sounds of the 1990's, a period that many call the "Golden Age" of hip-hop.
