Truscum Demographics and Beliefs Survey: Results Part 1
The survey had a total of 562 responses over two separate surveys. It can be considered pretty comprehensive of the general views of the truscum community. I attempted to take out all "joke" responses by anti-truscum of which there were about 40.
87% of truscum recognize non-binary dysphorics as trans while 7% do not and 6% are undecided or do not know enough about the issue to make a judgement.
74% of truscum in this survey were trans while 18% were cis. 8% were questioning.
Most truscum were pre-transition including social transition although not by a lot (28%). 10% do not plan to transition at all. 18% have socially transitioned. Only 1% (3 people) had fully transitioned. No truscum are on hormones but do not plan to have any surgical procedures. 15% are on hormones but plan to have surgical procedures in the future. 15% also were at some other stage of transition.
58% of truscum were mentally ill while 28% were unsure and only 17% were sure they had no mental illness whatsoever.
I added this because I think although not spoken about much that access to free or cheap healthcare is a priority within the truscum community and is part of our politics even if not necessarily stated. 94% believe access to free healthcare is a basic human right, 1% do not and 5% are unsure.
Most truscum recorded that they recieved the most help from truscum regarding transsexuality at 59%. Anti-truscum helped truscum 1% of the time. Real life support groups helped truscum 7% of the time. Other groups on the internet helped truscum 10% of the time. Other groups or services helped 6% of the time.
This question was interesting because it was much more polarized than I originally believed it would be. I believe there needs to be a discussion regarding cis truscum at some point due to these results.
56% believe that cis people can call themselves truscum. 20% believe that cis people cannot call themselves truscum. 22% are undecided. The beliefs survey was varied. Egalitarianism came out on top but only by 27%, undecided was 22%, liberal feminist was 15%, radical feminist was 16%, anti feminist + mra both 0%. Marxist feminism got 5% and other got 15%.
76% of truscum are employed or in full time education. 21% are in neither. 3% in other.
More than half of truscum have attempted suicide (58%) while 42% have not.
33% have been sexually assaulted in their life times while 60% have not and 5% stated "other".
