Thus ends round 1!
Here are some highlights!
Round 1 saw a number of casualties from half of our favorite ships, with a whopping 32 being knocked out in 24 hours! Even in the short timespan though, there was a lot of voting and propaganda pouring in, with the most votes going to Fiddleford McGucket and Ford Pines VS Dean Winchester and Castiel, a battle of two of tumblr's most famous fandoms over the years, with Destiel prevailing!
The award of most advocating for a ship goes to @hercarisntyours for their excessive propaganda for Optimus Prime and Elita-1, in what proved to be what was perhaps the most intense battle of the first round, with Janice and Melina edging them out by 3 percent!
It appears in our first round, classic tragedy beats new tragedy, with Patrochillles beating out favorite to win Jayvik! What a surprise, everyone!
However, classic does not always beat new, as Romeo and Juliet saw a crushing defeat from Gelphie! We might have a new favorite, people!
The most surprising win of the tournament so far definitely goes to Tenrose VS Jmart, with Jmart being another favorite to win the whole shebang having what was among the most submissions! But the Doctor prevailed and live to see tomorrow and die another day!
But do you know who didn't live to see tomorrow and die another day? That's right, in a devastating upset, Curtwen, the literal BANNER OF THIS BLOG, lost in the first round, with Jedas getting their revenge from the Divorced Tournament. Crazy news, I know. I hope all the Curtwen people that were following this blog don't unfollow and leave, please guys I'm one of you.
