I’ll probably never finish this one, but I love it all the same. I still think about these two a lot, even after all this time.
[Image: an unfinished sketch/line art pass depicting two adventurers in a tavern, Tranled and Ferrindale. Tranled is a fallen aasimar man wearing a few pieces of platemaille and a forlorn expression, with a harmonica clenched in his fist. Ferrindale is a small bard with pointed ears and an unwavering smile, holding a ukulele in one hand and drawing the corners of Tranled’s mouth into a smile with their other hand and a spectral mage hand. The bar top is covered in telltale shot glasses, and through the window a boat is visible headed up the river towards the infamous stone bridge. Though it’s not necessarily visible, the two are about to sing together, in a duet that was never practiced in person beforehand, nor ever accounted for the fact that my dear friend’s harmonica might be in a different key, and went subsequently about as well as one might expect, but made the evening perfectly unforgettable nonetheless.
