I’ve been told many times by other trans people that I need to change my ID on Instagram because “The T slur is used to disparage trans women.” Before I had this user name I was called the “T slur “ plenty of times. Do you know how many times I’ve been called the Tranny since I changed it to my current ID? Zero times. I refuse to let others think they have the power to make me feel weak,threatened, or less than. I love my Instagram handle. I think it’s hilarious. I've been on #testosterone for 14 months I've been on #injections since July 26th I've seen so many more changes happen since starting injections. I'm happy that I went slow at first though, it helped me get more comfortable within myself, now I feel like changes can't happen fast enough. I have top surgery in February and a full hysterectomy in March. The road ahead is gonna be a tough one and I can't imagine going through it alone. My friends, most of my family, and girlfriend have all been so great.
