Thinking about trans Kaz in the club tonight

what if Spike's transgender (mtf) and she always feels uncomfortable when she's activated but, because she has limited knowledge of the world, she thinks that's how everyone is, and then the others (and maybe Chase?) sort of help her realize she is trans?

Okay okay GOOD IDEA

So Chase is trans (ftm) and he transitioned when he was pretty young (because “you can’t be productive when you’re depressed”). He started testosterone when he was thirteen and got top surgery when he was sixteen

The issue is: Spike is a program, not an actual human. So she’s programmed to be a woman, no matter how Chase identifies

But Spike doesn’t understand why she can’t feel like a boy

She just can’t

In the headspace, she has a female body and feels perfectly fine, but when she’s activated, she feels gross in the body

She thinks maybe everyone feels like that

She makes an offhand comment about it to Kaz and Oliver one day and they’re like “oh shit, you’re trans? Or cis? How does this work?”

And Spike’s like “wait that’s a thing?”

So Kaz and Oliver explain how they were born girls and so was Chase, but they don’t feel that way, so they’re trans

They tell Chase about it when he fronts the next time

And he writes Spike a note, giving her permission to buy/wear more feminine clothes when she fronts

Bree and Skylar take her shopping

And because they don’t go to school, no one really notices how Chase switches genders a couple times a week

yo what if Kaz and Oliver were not liking how they had to share a room with Chase because they are both trans, but then something happens and it gets too hard to hide it so they tell him, expecting him to be grossed out, but instead Chase is like "wait, me too, tf?"

GOD TIER STUFF RIGHT HERE

So Mr. Davenport tells all the boys that they have to share a room

Oliver is like 👁👁 *internal screaming*

He’s like “Kaz, can I talk to you in private for a minute?”

They both freak out but Kaz is like “it’s fine we’ll just hide it.”

They refuse to let anyone else do their laundry or go through their clothes

They only shower when Chase and Bree aren’t home

And Kaz nearly passes out because he won’t take off his binder except for at night

But then one night, they don’t realize Chase is home and he walks into their bedroom with one of Oliver’s sports bras in his hand that Oliver forgot in the bathroom and Oliver nearly starts crying right there

And Kaz is like “well, I guess we’re doing this now.”

So they explain that they’re trans

And wait for him to explode and kick them off the team

But he’s like “wait you too?”

And that’s how they find out that Chase had top surgery last year which is why he can be shirtless around them

And they’re like “OH”

Chase gets them set up with suits that have binders built in that can move and adjust how they need it to

And Bree is of course super supportive and she goes with them to Pride and anyway :)

One of the superheroes helping Kaz or Oliver (or both) with some trans struggles? Like transphobia, dysphoria, binding, ect.

YESSSS

Oliver

- Oliver has a pretty small chest, so he can actually pass pretty well without a binder

- He uses trans tape if he doesn’t want to wear his binder, or if he’s working out

- He gets a lot of voice dysphoria, and body dysphoria due to his lack of muscle

- His super strength helps with that

- He didn’t come out until grade nine and his dad was super supportive but his mom was transphobic

- That’s what led to their divorce

- Oliver hates that his dad left because his mom got full custody

- Anyway, the kids at school didn’t know who was before he came out, so they barely notice when he cuts his hair and changes his name

- At Mighty Med, Oliver is kinda shoved out of the closet when he gets hurt and they have to take off his shirt

- The Crusher is The Most Supportive and helps him work out and gain some muscle mass

- He also beats up transphobes for him

- No cops at Pride, just the Crusher and his trans son

- Skylar helps him voice train, to deepen his voice a little

- And Horace helps get him set up on HRT once he turns sixteen

Kaz

- Kaz is a bit chubbier than Oliver, and his chest is a lot bigger

- He hates it

- He has considered looping them off with a chainsaw

- So he wears a binder all day every day

- He came out to Oliver when they were five and he cut his own hair

- He’s been going by Kaz his whole life (though it used to be Kas) so he didn’t really have to come out to his teachers

- He gets awful dysphoria about his chest and hips.

- That’s why he wears baggy clothes

- The superheroes find out when he starts wheezing after running from a super villain

- He ends up passing out from it

- He wakes up with his binder cut off and Tecton sitting next to him

- “So you’re trans.”

- Kaz almost cries

- “Yeah.”

- “Me too.”

- And Kaz is so surprised because Tecton was literally his transition goal. He loved how masculine and strong he was and wanted to be like him

- And he was trans?

- Tecton shows him his top surgery scars and once Kaz’s ribs recover, Tecton helps get him an athletic binder that he can run around and train in

- Horace does Kaz’s top surgery when he’s seventeen

- Megahertz goes to pride with him and supports him (Megahertz is gay as hell yall)

In trans Kaz AU him and ocelot have probably been enemies since elementary school and one day ocelot catches Kaz trying to bind with ace bandages and ocelot is like u fucking idiot don't know those r dangerous. He then takes Kaz out and buys him a proper binder. The two argue the whole time but still have a pretty good time.

THIS WOULD SO HAPPEN THO

of course they’d argue with each other over the ace bandage technique, Kaz being endlessly stubborn about it until Ocelot says “fine break your damn ribs then”

he waits outside of the bathroom for Kaz to get dressed again and tells him that they’re going shopping, dragging a very begrudging Kaz along with him.  they go to a part of town that’s pretty well known in the LGBT community there– there’s bars, clubs, book shops, and LGBTQ safe boutiques.  Ocelot brings him to one of the smaller shops there, gets a few different sizes of binders, and shoves Kaz into the dressing room to try them on.  when he finds the one that fits him, Kaz is a little overwhelmed and feels so much more comfortable now that he’s not layering sports bras or trying to hide under baggy clothes; Ocelot buys him two– one black and one flesh toned.

of course they needed to even out the oddly heartwarming moment with more arguing the whole way home, but Kaz still gives him a hug and thanks him afterwards.  Miles just can’t get over the joy on Kaz’s face when he shows him.

Lmao I can imagine for trans Kaz, the medic would be like "hey Kaz you don't look so good you should sit down I'll prepare a seat for you" then proceeds to wipe his face. Bonus- Kaz definitely ends up sitting on his face

Kaz would definitely sit on his face after he takes 5 minutes to stop wheezing with laughter (LIKE I AM RIGHT NOW).  he also can’t believe that line even WORKED on him, like it was so damn cheesy and dumb, but it may just be because he likes sitting on Miles’ face anyway~

Omg but imagine in the trans Kaz AU that Kaz used to be super afraid of needles so miles would kiss him to distract him then put the needle in while Kaz was blushing

Kaz knew he needed to do the shots but absolutely hates needles and gets freaked out by them, so Miles walks in on him trying to do it himself and he just takes the needle from him and starts kissing him, on the lips, on the neck, anything to distract him, and then gives him the shot himself.  he may have left some accidental hickies on Kaz’s neck to make sure he was REALLY distracted.

Trans Kaz AU where miles is his boyfriend and they live together in a house with their cat and puppy and Kaz drives medic to work everyday and people give them looks but Miles could honestly give less than two fucks about what his co workers think B)
