The additional characters that populate this fic are mostly Original Characters* and embellishments of implied canon side characters! Year One (20k+ words) is set to be posted in September.

Kent stretches his arms out, groaning as he strains. “Alright, I’ll be back,” he jumps out of the car, taking his knapsack with him. He emerges a few minutes later with a large bag of chips and two slushies. Dex is already back in the car “Cherry or Blue Raspberry,” Kent inquires. He notices how Dex is staring at him incredulously. “What?” “You took your backpack to the fucking bathroom,” Dex huffs. “So?” “That’s unsanitary,” Dex chastises him. “I washed my hands,” Kent presents them in front of the steering wheel. Dex swats them away, “whatever.” Kent shrugs, “look, I’m just offering a token of my appreciation here. You don’t have to enjoy a nice, cool, delicious ICEE on a hot day.” Dex snorts, “hand me the cherry and shut up.” “Knew it,” Kent smirks as Dex pulls out of the gas station. “Blue Raspberry is disgusting.” Dex takes a long sip of his drink, “and not a real flavor.” “And let me guess,” Kent hums. “You’re only driving to Vegas because it was cheaper than flying? You probably hate road trips.”

Again, because I re-read it last week and it made me feel things again and I doodled this at work and then liked it and painted it. And just in time for Kent’s birthday tomorrow too. (also I just woke up bleary eyed from an extremely rare 2 hour afternoon nap and my first thought was “is it 12 pm CST on July 4th yet? Is all the Kent Parson Birthday Bash stuff posted yet?” Alas, no. ) My other Check Please fanart!

Alrighty!! As prompted in this post I got these started on the 3.5-4 hour drive to Vegas from the Grand Canyon uhhhhh Monday? Worked on them a bit at the airport and now I’m home! Lotsa Kents! Thank you so so much to everyone who sent in a prompt!! <3 That was super fun. tagging + little descriptions under the cut. 

I only was unable to complete 1 prompt! (which I think I saw kinda late, sorry @lomittz​ I’ll try another time =3) So we’ve got. @halfabreath​ who asked for “ kent + desert plants??? “ @abominableobriens​ who prompted “He had a cardboard sign that said SOUTH in all caps” (From their fic “Out of Gas” which is very very good) and uh I had already started drawing OoG!Kent in a crop top so I did the other two little ones too. @coldheartedbirch​ actually requested Kent chilling in a crop top and by the time I read that I had already drawn it! Good call! ;D @rubyguts​ wanted Kent laughing so hard he cried so you get two of those (one with swoops, reffed from the “stallion” interview between Jamie Benn and TSeggs and one happy Q Kenny) @megsamforever wanted summer Kent which I mean a lot of these could be haha @genius-species​ asked for Kent in sunglasses or Kit waking Kent up so I did both of those since @yoursummerfrost​ also asked for something with Kit! aaaaaand @potrix-the-queerschlaeger asked for warm & sleepy Kent so he’s in there too!
