im trans! and i want to bring up a thing that abruptly came to mind
so im an invader zim fan right? my favorite character is dib membrane. why? i project myself onto him. i see so much of myself in him, and dare i say i’d kin him if i was into that. i’m not anymore, but that’s not the point.
the point is that if you have a character you project onto or something of the like, headcanon them however the fuck you want, as long as it doesnt truly hurt anyone and possibly doesn’t break canon. I headcanon trans!dib because it comforts me that i can look up to a character thats more like me also because i cry from dysphoria if i think of dib as a cis dude but thats just me so
of course everyone can have their headcanons, so don’t yell at anyone for not having the same headcanons as you. live and let live.
I want people to look up to a character they can project themselves onto, to have a role model they never had. especially for more diverse people, like poc, lgbt, the physically or mentally disabled, whoever else that aren’t as commonly represented in the media. or to have fun. hc however you want as long as it isn’t hurtig anyone or possibly breaking canon, like I said.
