Trust me, I've been there.

The thing I do most often to bury this feeling is go to the mirror.

No, don't stare at yourself! Try to avoid doing that, it can make you feel worse.

Instead, get up really close to the mirror—you may have to get up on your tiptoes and lean over the counter like I do—and stare into your eyes.

Stare until you feel a powerful sense of relief.

I've always felt like your eyes are the most you part of your body. No matter how much you change yourself or how much your body doesn't feel like your body, they're always there, reflecting your innermost being.

So until next time, keep in mind that it's okay to feel uncomfortable in your skin and if you don't like what you see, you can always change it.
