Childhood Fear

Yang:Weiss? Did you grow up with the idea of a monster under your bed?

Weiss:Mine lived in the closet until I was about ten. Why?

Yang:I was just thinking it was a weird thing to tell- why did you state that like a fact.

Weiss:What? It shuffled and peeked on me to make sure I stayed in bed and out of Winter’s room.

Yang:Did you have an actual monster in your closet?

Weiss:D-Doesn’t everyone? You said yours was under the bed.

Yang:It was an irrational fear! There was nothing there!

Weiss:Nothing? That’s can’t be….I- I’m pretty sure my monster was very real. It had glowing blue eyes, big and wispy. Sorta looked like a……*squints*

Winter:Of course not. I didn’t have summons. *sips tea* I asked mom to do it.

Winter:Yes, for me. Anyways, that stopped around the same time everything else did. I’m surprised you remembered it.

Weiss:It was traumatic!

Yang:I guess you can say the monster stopped living in your closet and took the entire house instead.

Whitley: "Look on the bright side, this is the first birthday where mother is actually sober."
