I have been quitting smoking for over fifteen years. This picture is so old that I don't even remember what party it was taken at. I don't really remember how I got into these places, except that when the party was over, everyone who had been so gallant left me alone at the entrance, in some unknown part of the city, and I had to somehow get home at night, alone. Budapest is safe, but I'm still so scared, and there are dangerous places. Like Nyugati square, where the night bus leaves for the quiet suburbs where I've lived ever since. Perhaps it was in these places that I developed my strange ability to remain invisible, as if I were hypnotizing my surroundings. Even the ticket inspector doesn't notice me, while he asks everyone else for their tickets on the night bus. Fear can bring out many different abilities in people.
