梁山伯與祝英台 | THE LOVE ETERNE (1963) dir. Li Han-Hsiang 16-year-old Zhu Yingtai convinces her parents to send her to college at Hangzhou on the condition that she disguises herself as a man. Along her journey to the college, she meets 17-year-old Liang Shanbo, who is attending the same school. The two become sworn "brothers", and Yingtai gradually falls in love with Shanbo who never discovers her identity. When she is summoned home by her father, Yingtai reveals the truth to the headmaster's wife, and requests that she be the matchmaker for her and Shanbo.
