i’m thinking thoughts about how dean would come out as trans to the wayward girls
he’d definitely do it during a family dinner like “ahem. so. uh. i’ve been meaning to tell you guys something. i’m uh. i’m trans”, but he passes so well they wouldn’t even think “oh okay he’s a trans man”, they’d immediately jump to the conclusion that he’s coming out as a woman. which would make him. insanely uncomfortable.
they’d all be extremely supportive obviously, “yay! one more girl for the team!”, but they’d be so excited he wouldn’t have the opportunity to speak and say “nonono that’s not what i meant-” so for like 2-3 full minutes he’d be sweating and cringing because that’s just. yknow. a bit (this is an understatement) triggering.
until cas would finally manage to tell them to politely shut the fuck up and to let dean speak.
so he’d say something along the lines of “appreciate all the support, but that’s not what i meant. i’m a guy, i just. i’m a trans guy. and uh. yeah just don’t call me uh... all of that” and there’d be a big long pause, followed by jody saying “oh god. oh no. i’m so sorry oh-” or something of the sort, then the whole table would be awkward and apologetic for a few more minutes but it would quickly go back to normal and the conversations would start up again.
overall, not the best coming out experience (definitely not the worst either. what was the worst you ask? j*hn, obviously) but it would definitely make dean feel pretty fucking confident too, because even when he literally came out as trans, they still didn’t see him as anything other than someone having been born in the body that matched his gender identity. and that? would feel awesome.
