Okay ⚽️❤️ mutuals! Two topics I want to know your thoughts on:
1. Trent leaving Liverpool and heading to Madrid. Sad? Mad? Happy?
2. Does Wilo end up with new Arsenal contract or is the hunky French defender going to Spain?

The best transfer business the club’s done all summer. 😂😍😍 #GetItGirls

seems like Diogo Jota is on his way to Anfield 🤩 👀
Guys!! Felli is leaving?!?! I feel a bit upset actually...who we going to affectionately hate on now??
Commentator: I think instead of looking at Jadon Sancho Manchester United are going to be looking for a new center back.
Me: YA THINK?! 🙄

Coach’s Corner: A Position For Every Player
Liverpool paid just shy of ₤26M / $33M to bring in Thiago Alcantara (a central midfielder) to play in central midfield. Chelsea, on the other hand, paid just shy of ₤76M / $97M for Kai Havertz (a central midfielder/winger) to play him as a center forward... um, what?? I will never understand why managers and clubs go out of their way and splash significant cash to pick up top players just to shoehorn them into positions that utterly ruin them. Another glaring example of this: N’Golo Kanté.
He was the league’s best defensive midfielder in the 2015-2016 season that saw Leicester City win the league, leading the league with most tackles won. And what does Chelsea in their finite wisdom do? They play in him in the outside position of a three-man midfield with him frequently making attacking runs into the opposition box. There was a moment early in their loss to Liverpool when Werner and Havertz set up a brilliant counter attack, but at the end of it the ball landed at the feet of Kanté and I was screaming at my TV, “That’s not the player you want in that position!” Sure enough, he couldn’t get the ball out of his feet and the play died. Credit to him, he does what the manager wants him to do, but that’s not where he’s at his best. Meanwhile, Liverpool just continued to pass circles around Chelsea all game. If only they had a top-class midfield destroyer who could’ve broken up that play by playing centrally and staying deep... They have a plug-and-play player and they’re wasting time trying to configure him for a system he was never compatible with.
If Lampard is going to continue to play Kanté and Havertz in positions that don’t suit them, or sit Jorginho in front of center backs that struggle every week, he’s going to fail; money be damned. ⚽
Anyone else getting tired of Manchester United being “linked” with players that they’re never going to bring in? I just looked at a list of players we were supposedly interested in this summer and 95% of them have ended up at other clubs or they’re not going anywhere. Really? Can we just stop the speculation if they’re not going to do anything? It’s not exciting anymore, it’s exhausting tbh. 🙄🤦🏾♂️😔
