Design for sentinel maximus and primal prime

Venturing deeper into the citadel, the autobots encounter the next guardian created after dragonstorm. long ago maximus merged with the allspark's vessel to mask it's energies but now transfers that duty to Optimus prime, forging the matrix of leadership, freeing maximus to live the life she always wanted under a new name and body as primal prime, she and the matrix are one and the same even if not physically connected anymore, and she yearns to explore the world she spent so many years protecting

Sentinel maximus is the previous name of primal prime before she remade herself to experience the world (listen not everyone has good taste in names but be happy for her either way)

Having guarded the allspark alone for many years, she and dragonstorm were the only ones active when the six clan entombed them underground so many years ago, but the six clan didn't stop there, they continued to invade the citadel for years to get their hands on the allspark, until sentinel, in an attempt to ensure it's power couldn't fall into the wrong hands, transfered the allspark into a new vessel and merged with it, the allspark container entirely replacing her own spark, and blurring the allspark's wants and needs with her own to such an extent that there isn't any meaningful difference between them. The allspark, now contained within optimus prime's matrix is as much an expression of her as she's an expression of it

Before the guardians were entombed underground, the allspark was making progress on something it had started to make from the moment it struck our soil, but the magnitude of this creation was so vast it took years to become noticable, and when it did, the six clan struck, seemingly attempting to take the allspark for their evil schemes but in truth tarantulas knew what was being born underground and knew that it's awakening at that point would spell doom to everyone on earth, and when sentinel merged with the allspark and saw it's plans, she knew it too, but unable to stop what already started, she used her powers to slow it down. And entirely focused on doing that until the autobots found the citadel in the modern day

Moved not by the mistress of flame's claims of their godhood but rather claims of their good deeds, she reached out into the autobot's minds and sensed a reservoir of wisdom carried by optimus that marked him as fit to carry the allspark, but his vessel, neither like the emberstone ,nor his own body like maximus, would be the matrix given to him by the mysterious stranger that saved his life all those years ago. Embedding the allspark within his matrix it became the matrix of leadership, and sentinel maximus was relieved from duty, passing on her mission to optimus prime while she got to reinvent herself in a new feminine body, as primal prime (inspired by the name of her sucessor although she doesn't really get the significance of the word prime, not being from space and all that)

Primal prime yearns to explore the world in the time she has left to live, as after having become one with the allspark her life force is split between her body and what's housed inside the matrix so one day she knows she'll have to be absorbed into it completely to unlock it's full power and wants to live life to the fullest before that happens, although she's incredibly ancient she's really fond of young people and wants to be up to date on current trends, while the autobot leaders are off doing important world saving work, she's off enjoying the world they're saving one road at a time, in the process she's joined the trottlebots and struck a deep friendship with hot rod.

Day 84 Botcon Thunderclash (Transformers Botcon 2009 “Wings of Honor” exclusive)

Happy Thunder Thursday! I broke my own rules to flex a little and draw my Botcon Thunderclash! (My only Botcon toy.)

He’s a repaint of Energon Rodimus Prime, and as such, isn’t the closest match to his original toy, or any of his other looks, but I don’t really care. I think he looks great!

But, being a repaint of Energon Rodimus, that means he can do this!

Design for antagony

Biologically the perfect life form. She can heal from any damage and shouldn't be able to feel pain... But she does. She's in constant pain, and the only way to make it stop is to feed and multiply, but her ant dna is scrambled, leaving her as neither queen nor worker, which is driving her insane

Antagony was created by the six clan while they had possession of the transmetal driver, born as a mutant, antagony is 37.5% ant, 57,5% agony and 5% optimus prime, possed of a healing factor, she was intended to be the leader of the new transmetal mutants but her resulting physchosis made her unfit to lead, antagony is known to suffer from hallucinations and false memories, usually fabricating some kind of past life from before she became a mutant, even though she was born like this.

Trying to mask her suffering, antagony behaves as something of a sad clown. She's funny and clever, always has something witty to say when things are good. Well.. as good as things can get in her shoes, but when things are bad and she can't try to ignore her overly sensitive pain receptors, she becomes almost incoherent. Despite her mental instability, she's actually really well liked by her fellow mutants. They're all friends, best friends even, mutants stick together as they say

Antagony would continue to antagonize her enemies until the day her pain came to an end. During the quintesson invasion, the aliens attempted to take over her body, but even a second of her everyday experience was too much for the quintesson mind and immediately sent the creature into shock, burning it's brain into mush, while the psychic connection the quintesson forged with antagony allowed her to feel the world through it's body instead of her own, using that quintesson body she expanded that psychic network to take over an insecticon colony at which point antagony existed so beyond her original body that she couldn't even feel pain anymore,

Transformers Botcon Kickoff (Over? Out?)

A Grail found!

I have wanted Botcon Kickoff since pretty much the first moment I saw him but I didn't act fast enough while Botcon that year was going on and everyone was selling them at reasonable prices online to grab one! Add to the fact that he was packed with Shattered Glass Optimus Prime his price soon skyrocketed due to it being Prime and having an upgrade kit available for it! It's amazing how an upgrade kit can cause the aftermarket prices for toys soar. Luckily I am a patient guy and waited and watched for an opportunity to come my way and it did last week from a very friendly seller on the local Cybertron.ca message boards.

The new head and amazing paint scheme on this figure are outstanding! The paint on the actual figure is astounding. All the lines are clean and crisp with sharp paints and amazingly nice plastic colors used. The head has a fantastic sculpt but I do have some paint splotching on mine. It's not something that you can notice until you get right close to the figure though, or use a high resolution camera...

Overall though Kickoff is an incredibly good looking figure and yet another impressive repaint/remold out of the RtS Jazz mold. Highly recommended.
