Humans in this AU generally aware that Cybertronians exist, but only as fiction.
And now we got the planned main protagonists:
An autistic who is too hyperfixated with Transformers and especially Optimus Prime. He really sees Optimus as his own dad. He has his own issues (not going to reveal what yet).
His friend who wants to help people (not because of... Something...) and including the Autistic! :D He also is a fan of Transformers .
The mad scientist who thinks rationally. Shockwave but human? Probably (but he isn't Shockwave).

A few questions my mind has come up with after the last ask:
1. Are there names and designs for your humans characters yet? I mainly ask for reference and because I need something Transformers related to drag me out of art block and considering I can’t draw robots this seems like the next best thing lol.
2. Im assuming you’re doing like most Transformers fan continuity makers and just grabbing what you like from the clusterfuck that is Transformers canon and making up stuff to fill in the gaps. Anyways, im asking if there are any specifics things for characters and worldbuilding that you have in mind, like Optimus and Megatron’s backstory, the whole 13 Primes thing, why they left Cybertron, etc.
3. You said one of the human protags will be very logical. First of all, I hope you know they are already my favorite despite only having a single sentence of info on them because ‘emotionless’/logical/science characters will forever be my comfort. Second, do they get along with Shockwave, and if so do they aid him in committing crimes against reality?
If it’s spoilers or something you don’t plan on sharing yet i totally get it, im just asking what my brain has come up with while thinking about this instead of doing schoolwork.
1. I actually do have names! They're called Jake, Phoenix and Max (I still don't know if they're good names so idk, but I am sticking with them for now). No reference yet, but I will if I have time.
2. Yep. I mainly like IDW, Aligned and TF: One origin mostly. Orion and D-16 (some spoilers but not much) were sworn brothers and worked together to overthrow the system. They're so close in relationship one could say they're dating (MegOP is real). Orion/Optimus is not part of the original 13 Primes. As for leaving Cybertron, the Decepticons want a new Cybertronian society without the old system while the Autobots figured the Decepticons might harm other species (due to the actions being... Morally questionable) and so yeah. Energon is another factor. I have more things like how Primus and Unicron came to be and other things.
3. Max is a sciencey guy! However, they're friends with Jake and Phoenix so... No (he got forced to be in the Autobots due to, logically, keeping their friends sane). I am so sorry if that upsets you but 😭.

- Jake being a musician (making a Transformers-theme project, imagine Optimus but Pitbull/Bruno Mars/bbno$)
- Slice of Life + War?
