More one-shot comics, along with some purchases from the last year.
man i thought the mark wahlberg x giant alien mech ship was like. a joke. where's my clown makeup kit
The other disposable class mechs are Sollux and Rose. Sollux is a calculator named Add Up and hes literally fine because the Cloud Chamber he 'belongs to', Equius (Egeist) is such a pushover that he can't stop this outlier (x men style mutant basically) from doing whatever the hell he wants. Egeist is a hardcore Functionist but when he tries to be like "sorry you're not allowed to talk to people and also you have to drink low grade energon it's the law" Add Up just straight up electrocutes him, cackling. He's too emberressed to tell anybody or try to get rid of him so this exhausted, classist engineer is just stuck with this nightmare gremlin mutant.
Rose (Aubade) is fine too because she's a projector and she ended up with Sartor (Kanaya) the 3D printer, she basically makes capes and jewelry for rich robots and she was given a projector to help design her projects. Sar and Aubade's first conversation was basically "look you know you're a person. I know you're a person. Neither of us want to be in this situation but I promise not to treat you like scrap." "Cool cool do you have any data pads to read I'm bored as shit." Rose, like Karkat, reads revolutionary writing online, but in her case she actually writes a lot of it too. When she eventually meets Megatron (who was pretty okay early on) there's a mutual moment of gay writer respect. Except Aubade writes a lot less pining poetry.
(When Rosemary does happen it's well into the war because prewar for legal reasons it would be a weirdchamp power dynamic.)
jazz again because i drew him once and how he won’t leave me alone
A couple one-page smaller comics that I made while doing the D.E.C. review.
i have two more movies in my transformers rewatch and then i'll finally be freeeeee unfortunately those two are bumblebee (horrible) and rise of beasts (also not good) but i feel like i'm capable of anything after sitting through the last knight. jesus christ
Last one because the spam is real: Peramed (Jane), Straight Shot (Jake), Boost (Tavros), Gears (Aradia), and Mixed Meter (Dave).
Peramed is a pretty basic medscanner, and she would be a nurse, except she's just too good at her job so she strongarmed her way into being permitted to take doctors classes and exams and then passed with flying colors. She's very cheery and easy going on the outside, but internally she is constantly struggling to keep her cool in the face of condescension and injustice. She helps patients hide their anomalies to protect them from Functionist poking or prosecution, and she's a force to be reckoned with.
Straight Shot has lofty dreams of adventure and heroism, but right now he's stuck as a courier—technically in the same caste as Asterism and Orbit, actually, but he's a cold constructed race car. He's also pretty oblivious to the growing revolution for a long time because it wasn't public for years, and a long time ago he went onto the robot version of the dark web and was scarred for life so he never went back. RIP.
Boost is a crane in the construction caste—not a group of mechs that are treated particularly well, similar to the manual labor and mining castes. He's really very gentle, but people tend to be wary around big frames, if they don't think they can get away with mistreating them like Boost's supervisors. The one bot he's truly at ease with is Gears, the concerningly morbid waste disposal truck! People try to be framist to her but it really backfires because she's just naturally pretty off-putting. She and Boost are good friends, and they often talk off duty or on the occasion they're on the same job site.
Mixed Meter is a nurse—hes the right frame to technically be a doctor if he wanted to (though he might face discrimination as a flier, he's a medijet) but he doesn't do well under pressure. And he's just a really good nurse, he's helpful, charismatic, and he puts people at ease. He also secretly swordfights, writes music, and distributes contarband leftist theory.
