Trans rights are always human rights, first and foremost.
Second I cannot express anything but my sympathy to the people in India who are affected by this regressive and disgraceful new bill. For those unaware I will link an article, but please take the time to further educate yourself.
In India, since 2019, there has been a right to self identify. This new bill revokes this. Not only that, but it narrows the definition regarding trans people, rewording their original definition to exclude those who identify differently to their birth sex. There is no reason for this. It is abhorrent.
To be queer is to fight for everyone, we are not equal until everyone is equal.
