Transition Shot #3

I got my first T-shot today, and I am ecstatic. Pictured above is the syringe that was used (I feel weirdly sentimental about it sorry.), and trans pins and stickers provided by me lovely nurse who is teaching me how to do the injections.

Some things to remember about giving yourself a shot:

After you use the bottle for the injection the first time you must sterilize it before you use it again. Every time.

You need to wait for the alcohol to dry before something is sterile.

You use the lower gauge needle to draw the T, and the higher gauge to actually inject.

Needle safety is a must, always remember to cap your needles right away after using them.

Make sure you know whether your injection is sub-cutaneous or Intra-muscular. There is a big difference.

For sub-cutaneous the puncture itself is not that painful, however there will be a lasting full ache under the skin. I’m just being real with you here.
