First Translation Exercise for my Conlang!

So I will come up with some sort of more official way of presenting conlang stuff in the future, but for now I just am so excited to share this!!!

I was watching Biblaridion's syntax video and going through translating "The person sees the animal"

My basic grammar rules so far are SOV word order, verb-like adjectives, and the adjective always comes before the verb!

So the person sees the animal:

/amʒut blikɪ ʒənoʊ/

(romanized as) amjut bliki juhnoh

(person) (animal) (to see)

And the person sees the big animal:

/amʒut blikɪ nawu ʒənoʊ/

(romanized as) amjut bliki nawu juhnoh

(person) (animal) (to be big) (to see)

I am trying to find a better way to romanize ɪ as I don't want there to be too much confusion about the difference between i /i/ and i /ɪ/... Then again, I guess if I always provide the IPA symbols, there will be no confusion so maybe I don't have to? I don't know... I'll update on that if I find something that works better!!!

Also something that works better than uh and oh for /ə/ and /oʊ/...

And yes /ʒ/ is romanized as j, /j/ will be y because I'm a lazy English speaker... And /ʒ/ as j looks cool!!!

My translation in English below:

Buboom... Buboom... Each morning, Sisandra begins by counting her heart’s beats and the number of days she has lived since her birth. Sisanda, her, can not run. Neither can she jump, nor play with the others, nor nothing, because of her stupid little heart and its dumb illness. The doctor told her she had a great luck being still alive. Really great. Here, we can not do anything, Sisandra should be operated in a specialized hospital in another country. And this costs a lot... A million of kels! She has counted it would take to her parents thirty eight years, three months and twenty days to gather this much money...

But all this maths are wronged when she discovers Maswala could win the same amount running as fast as an antilope...

Skating tour ‘REVOLUTION ON ICE’

Javier Fernández’s grand show in Pamplona kicks off on Saturday.

Pamplona. Next Saturday. 8:30pm at the Navarra Arena. A unique occasion to see the world’s best skaters in a show unparalleled, of incalculable value. One might even call it ‘priceless.’ 

“We bring my world and we bring it here so everyone can see what we feel when we’re on the ice,” summarized Javier Fernández, the father and driving force behind Revolution on Ice, a show that promises to be unforgettable.

The show’s first stop is in Pamplona. From there, the tour will continue in Málaga (November 17), Murcia (December 21), Las Palmas (December 26) and Madrid (29). A presentation (regarding the tour) was given at the Patio Isabelino de INAP, in which Maitena Ezkutari, the general director of Tourism and Commerce of the government of Navarra; Jesús Rodríguez, the director of Revolution on Ice, and Javier Fernández were in attendance.

The tour’s production is an impressive one. It is a show that has been built over the course of ten months, with 200 people on staff for each event. A show that with the music of Carlos Jean will gather skaters who have in total won 37 international medals at Worlds, the Olympic Games, and Europeans. Yuna Kim and Plushenko are some of the legends present.

What Revolution on Ice is all about, according to Fernández: “A fusion of skating, music, projections, and sound. It is an evolution of the sport for people of all ages to see.”
