We worked on a full transcript of Franbersher’s Guide to Stop-Motion together, which you can read here... but we want to bring the series to a bigger audience by creating accessible versions of the transcript in multiple languages.

While YouTube's automated captions have come a long way, they are still not perfect, and neither are their translations. Older videos haven't necessarily gotten the nicer automated captions that new YouTube videos get now; the new ones distinguish between people and have sentences with proper punctuation. They even emphasise shouting! Thus, fan-created versions!

Ellie has already made one that's entirely in Greek, and there's a WIP German version, but that's just about where it starts and ends.

If you know a language other than English and reckon you can chip away at this in your own time, feel free to make a copy of the English Google Doc, and send me a message so I can add you onto the list of people who are responsible for workin' on this sort of thing :)

I know nothing about this movie - but being ignorant of Swedish, I am intrigued by it just from what I see it might be. Could someone translate the conversation/dialog, please, so I might have a better idea of the ambience surrounding Alex's vocal stylings?

hi! i know that this blog mostly focuses on anime game translations but this game does have anime cameos so i figured i'd ask: would you consider translating cinderellife girl's rpg?

We do also translate games with no anime connections at all, it just depends on the interests of available translators. I will add Cinderellife to our request list for consideration!

Request: is there anyone able (and willing) to translate an OPM audio drama?

Just had a look at the OPM wiki page and realised that there's a new audio file available that's not been translated. The episode looks like it's a delight.

Request for Chinese Speakers

Hey, can someone who reads Chinese offer a translation of this poster?

"承烈火君命緝捕艾洛．祖寇二叛賊．艾洛将軍曾為平西巨龍．祖寇王子曾為火帝儲君．二賊違反國令．拒絕征剿水族蛮子及捉拿降卋神通．格殺勿論."

The Avatar Wiki offers the translation of

"The Fire Lord orders the arrest of Iroh and Zuko, the two rebellious traitors. General Iroh was once the Dragon of the West, Prince Zuko was Crown Prince to the Fire Lord. Both traitors violated imperial orders,refusing to exterminate the Water Tribe barbarians as well as capture the Avatar. (Permission is granted to) kill them on sight."

However, every time I try to run this through machine translation, I get something more like "Kill without mercy," "they are to be killed," or "kill them on sight" for the last bit, which seems a bit harsher and more imperative than the translation on the Avatar wiki.
