really weird nonbinary transmasc experience of being excited to be gendered masculine by other ppl esp guys, but then realizing their inclusivity comes with so much fucking misogyny. and then realizing no one really cares about advocating for women's representation, and centering men everywhere to the exclusion of women, and it stings. it feels scary. because i am masculine you think i no longer care about women? i want stories about women, i enjoy them and even crave them. i may be transmasc but part of me is still a woman and i cheer when the girls are represented and empowered. we are nowhere near gender equality. i cannot just ignore that. even if i was a binary trans man why should i leave that behind?

like i’m not set on it either way. but i will say that one of the major considerations i have about going on T is whether or not i’ll keep my ridiculously long vocal range. bc on a good day with the right warmups i can go from a decent rendition of Hellfire (from Hunchback) straight into In My Dreams (from anastasia) and those aren’t even my hard limits. what would i do without my operatic high notes….
