This is so horrific. Brianna’s family have lost their daughter which is unimaginably excruciating & it’s yet another tragedy for the trans community. The transphobic media, politicians, & people like Kellie Jay Keen & JK Rowling, you have blood on your hands! Is this what you wanted? You have relentlessly attacked trans people, stigmatised us, lied about us. You have deliberately conflated trans existence with perversion & violence. You are fucking scum…WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN???!!! Even the coverage this tragedy has garnered is problematic in its own way; so many trans folks with intersectional identities, who are part of other marginalised communities have been murdered & it’s been met with silence but that’s par for the course with our trash, transphobic British press. If you’re cisgender, it is not enough to quietly disagree with transphobia, it’s not enough to be a trans ally in a room full of trans people. Like with racism, you have to actively be anti-transphobic & if you’re not, this is also on you! @rishisunakmp your party are causing trans deaths. @keirstarmer what are the Labour Party doing to combat transphobia?
