WOOOHOOO!!! gatta love achievements! Lol. Honestly if it wasn't for all the running app achievements out there I would probably have been so bored this year. I LOVE achievements, no matter if it's a video game, a real life certification, or an achievement on a running app. I am ALL about achievements. I am simply not competitive with other people but I am HIGHLY competitive with myself. Achievements may be silly but they make me feel like I have beaten my old self and that the bar is even higher. This weekend’s half marathon was finally the controlled one I was supposed to run the last two weekends. Just had fun and stuck to my plan while enjoying the ol’ alma mater!

We ran a DIY #WDWhalf this morning since the official race was canceled due to thunderstorms. It was so much fun out there doing laps around Boardwalk and to/from Hollywood Studios! There were more than a hundred other runners, many with their bibs on, doing the same and the camaraderie was fantastic! So great and completely killed any disappointment from the cancelation! And now I can feel like I earned those Donald, #GoofyChallenge, and #DopeyChallenge medals! #runDisney

Today's long run was really wonderful and quite relaxing. Not too hot, didn't rain, and allergies didn't kick my butt. I am officially on day 10 of my 30 day grit challenge. I am about 27% through the 75 miles which isn't much but I was in the hospital a few days ago and so I missed 2 days of running because of it and have been told to take it easy for a little while so my body can recover. For those who might be feeling concerned I want you to know that I am OK and am recovering quickly. But I might need to walk a lot of these miles to reach my goal. 😭 Oh! Also today is day 2 for my 100mile September challenge... So going out today I felt really tired and the pulled muscle in my lower back was killing me... Of course all the hills didn't help with that 😒 but another day done and I just have to keep pushing as best I can until the very end.
