me @ me: remember how misleading the teaser for episodes 11 and 12 was? and remember how many of your assumptions and predictions turned out to be wrong?

look at shaofei knowing tang yi so well that he knows exactly what to say to get tang yi to not kill that dude! and tang yi actually agreeing to do what shaofei wants even though it probably goes against all his instincts and will make the gang think he’s a huge weirdo! boyfriends of the year!!

sometimes i feel like there must have been an original, much more standard show about these characters that had just the normal number of tropes in it, and, like many shows, it was dissatisfying in a number of ways, which were remedied by the fandom through extensive application of fanfiction. and then, years later maybe, someone came along and turned all that fic into history3. the original show is lost to the sands of time, but we can still see its echoes in history3, like a fossil record or vestigial organs.

so what i want to know is, which one of you went back in time and wrote the domestic fluff fic feat. two sappy dorks in love using their mouths to smear frosting all over each other’s faces upon which this scene was based?

so now we know that the nakedly emotional look on tang yi’s face in the teaser when shaofei says he wants to spend every one of tang yi’s birthdays by his side is because sir tang said something very similar to him as a child and shaofei has no idea how much it would mean to him to hear someone say that to him again
