mental illness/neurodivergence: anxiety up the wahzoo. it does seem ironic for a tactical officer to have anxiety but it’s not? he knows what makes him crack and he’s an ace pilot at avoiding that and he knows how to reinforce his boundaries and bulkheads to keep himself safe. it may keep him needlessly closed off a lot of the time (akin to Rosa Diaz from B99) but it fucking WORKS and he worked a shit ton of it out before even attempting to join Starfleet. HE HAD TO.

almost had a career as a dessert chef

almost caused a diplomatic situation because he made a pun to a culture that had a literal language that did not accommodate wordplay (hoshi gave him an ass kicking for that)

drafted a document during the Romulan War that classified the MACOs as a necessary inclusion to the ranks of Starfleet yet outlined specific and severe restrictions to their military permissions - an act which made him one of the most controversial yet forgotten figures in Federation history by making Starfleet a military organization

gender: Revolution.

mental illness/neurodivergence: PTSD and C-PTSD to the stars with resulting paranoia that someone she cares about might not be there the next month, week, or day. She was told not to get attached in the resistance cells, yet nameless faces still gave her comfort, and she still feels like that comfort is something that might poison her because of its impermanence. 

3 random headcanons:

she never sends stuff back to Garak for alterations because, for whatever reason, her garments are always made perfectly. (threats do work in some cases)

had Rom install a program in Quark’s holosuites to detect if anyone outside of the senior staff used her physical parameters without permission, and in case of that happening, security would be called and they would get arrested

helped Ziyal legally emancipate herself from her father according to Bajoran law and then adopted her as her own and then walked her down the aisle at her wedding to Jake later on (which was lavishly funded by his boyfriend Nog) cANON IS IRRELEVANT

sexual orientation: pan/omnisexual in the way that like… ur kept in a scarran torture chamber for ur whole life and then u finally escape and ur like “whoa why is everyone sO HOT” like that kinda thing

gender: farscape does have a weird and unnecessary gender binary thing so he’s on the dude side of it as far as canon is concerned and i’m fine with that It’s fair to say that he was treated as more or less an animal during his childhood and only discovered a more sentient gender identity on his own so like… that’s a different case right there??? yeah.

mental illness/neurodivergence: hardcore c-ptsd there from multiple angles. like holy fucking shit. 

3 random headcanons:

he and Braca met because Braca was one of the individuals assigned to guard the room where he was kept during the Peacekeepers’ development and application of his second and more advanced coolant suit. Other guards treated him like an oddity and an exhibit and only ogled him and invited others to gawk, but Braca stayed silent, until asking Scorpius his name. Conversation struck up and they developed their relationship over multiple shifts, and eventually Braca rose in rank to become Scorpius’s chief and most trusted lieutenant.

Coincidentally, Braca is the only individual alive who has seen Scorpius without his coolant suit. Scorpius has made sure to kill any of the Scarran technicians and scientists responsible and involved with his origin, and has also made sure that any and all Peacekeepers involved with the engineering of his current and past models have all met an untimely and unfortunate demise. If he were to re-engineer his suit, he would take the plans for it out of a chip integrated into it and hire an entirely new team of Peacekeeper scientists to analyze the data and improve it, and then both he and Braca would make sure those scientists never saw the light of stars again.

Aurora chair technology is an adapted form of Scarran interrogation tech. Scorpius is so expert with it because he has experienced it in its unadulterated form.

5 things you'd change about farscape?

Less of Aeryn and John’s relationship - like... we get it. they are kinda the romantic backbone of the show but??? WE GET IT. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH. WE KNOW. we know. (we know) - they can still be portrayed as being in love but their relationship really did steal the spotlight from the dynamics of other characters and just... ugh.

Jothee should’ve been brought on as an Alexander Rozhenko type - no weird shit with Chiana. There should’ve been some mutual parenting for him by everyone onboard Moya, including Moya herself, and he could’ve brought some sort of specialty to the crew like another piece of Luxan weaponry? Jothee would’ve been a great permanent addition to the crew, and his presence would’ve driven home the theme of family.

I would’ve loved to see everyone’s homeworld at least once. There was a sense of no one belonging at home, and seeing everyone’s incongruity with their own species would be intensified - especially on the Nebari homeworld the most I believe. Farscape never did the best job tightening up worldbuilding throughout the galaxy, and I would like to see more of that.

More Scarrans!!! Scarran society is really interesting with the 3 phenotypes working into their caste system, and it would’ve been interesting to have a Scarran in Moya’s crew. Not a hybrid like Scorpius - but a literal Scarran, as a foil to Aeryn. Someone who did their best to serve their cause and was caught in the wrong place at the right time just like her. I just wish they were explored more as a species and as villains (like all the nasties i love) so there’s that. The Peacekeepers were explored reasonably sufficiently as a society so i feel like the Scarrans should’ve been given the same chance.

Explicitly queer Scorpius and Braca - and other characters - okay like the actors described that one lick scene as intimate/romantic but that doesn’t necessarily make it canon and also Chiana had multiple attractions to women/nb characters and just... Farscape is a show that is so ripe for queer inclusion and yet??? (see #1 tbh)

Raxil should’ve been given a periodic recurring fuckerupper role akin to a fusion of Quark and Q - she’s such an iconic character and i love her so much

Jool and Sikozu should’ve been given their own ship and become pirates or bounty hunters or some shit. yeah.

wish i could go back to my shower this morning where all i did was soak and think of a crossover smush of an au where jack’s time portal gets caught on john crichton’s wormhole and he ends up in an aku-controlled farscape world

jack lives aboard moya and has the most wonderful adventures with the crew and bonds with john about displaced human stuff and tells him of histories he’s never known and john tells him of all sorts of wacky present time shitnanagans and jack finds identity and peace within literally everyone on the crew and it’s just beautiful

and on the villain side it’s fucking brutal because aku is playing both sides of the peacekeepers vs. scarrans and scorpius is his right hand man with braca being scorp’s right hand man and sometime on the course of the plot scorp finds out about aku’s double-dealings and defects and jack has to rescue him because no being should be manipulated by aku like that
