Run like hell
So, I was rewatching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as one does, and noticed a bit of paralel.
In 2x12 "Who you really are" when May grabs Skye they both run like hell to get out of the situation.
Now, we all know that May wanted kids, but well, Bahran and Katya happened. The one she couldn't save hunted May probably until the end of her life.
And Skye/Daisy was like her child, all the so called Bus kids were, but Skye just a bit extra.
That made everything in 2x12 even more personal than it already was.
And we also know May didn't really stop loving Andrew. She probably stopped feeling it for a while, or at least she wanted to.
Now when I rewatched the whole thing again I can't get rid off the feeling, that when all of the shit hit the fan she was hearing Andrew's voice in her head.
"She's gonna be scared, kneeling down to her level will help. If not then just grab her, and run like hell."
So Melinda ran and tried to keep the girl safe. And well, the rest is history.
