Thinking about Chuuya who thinks he's not human when he's one of the most human characters. Like so ridiculously human. He has so much power, enough to kill anyone, enough to take over the port mafia, enough to destroy cities. But he doesn't. He would never do that. He's not cruel. He feels sad when his people die. Not because the organization lost people, but because someone died. He feels sad when he sees abandoned puppies. He felt betrayed when Dazai left, but he was happy for him, that he escaped a place he definitely didn't like. He's loyal to the port mafia, he respects people. He's friends with his co-workers. Chuuya is just so human. And he still doubts that.

Do you ever think about how long it must have taken Chuuya to get over the Flags' death? Like, genuinely accept that the apartment above him was gonna stay quiet forever because Albatross was gone. To understand that he won't ever go in crazy adventures with his friend in the middle of the night. To process that there won't be a new Lippmann movie ever again. To get used to nobody asking him to join the modeling industry. To accept that the Old World bar will forever and ever be empty, no one waiting there for him for a quick drink before or after work. That he'll never talk to any of his friends again. No more jokes about poison in his glass. No more pool. How long it must've taken him to accept this and move on with his life?

Guyss wait a damn sec. So. Verlaine had a manga debut. Exciting, right? BUT YK WHAT I JS REMEMBERED? Didn't Verlaine say at the end of stormbringer that he'll ever come back only if Chuuya is in danger?? Wtf could possibly put Chuuya The Strongest Ability User In The World ™ in danger? Well the most obvious answer is Fyodor, right? But let me disagree. I don't think that Fyodor rn could do anything to harm Chuuya. But yk who else has been absent and is searching for the book? Agatha. And let me remind you that before Stormbringer Verlaine killed some of her ppl so I'm sure she's thrilled to see the Gravity Brothers

But also if you think abt it the only real danger for chuuya so far has been Corruption. So maybe Chuuya will have to use Corruption without dazai so that's why Verlaine is there

My age headcannons for the flags, cuz I see ppl discussing their ages again

So we know in the canon that all of them are 25 or younger

And then, it's said that the oldest one is Pianoman, so he is 25 in the canon. Well, I guess that depending on the translation you could say that all of them are under 25 which would mean that Pianoman is 24. Personally, I go with the he's 25 option.

Iceman is said to be 2nd oldest, which could mean he's a couple of days younger than Pianoman or a even a year. I honestly thought he's the oldest originally but yeah. So I think he's around 24, but onlya couple months younger than Pianoman.

There's no specification to Lippmann's age, but I decided he's 23. Based on what? Vibes. Just vibes. But he's also the only one I am sure on.

Doc canonically finished med school in the US, which takes 4 years according to google, and you have to be at least 18 to start. So his minimum age would be 22. But he's already the best in the mafia so I would say he's been a member for like 2 or so years. So I think he's also around the age of 24.

About Albatross there's also nothing, but I think he's 18-19, based on that he seems to be the youngest and the closest one to Chuuya.

Chuuya is canonically 16.

Y'all gotta stop saying "the flags + chuuya", "the flags & chuuya", blah, blah, blah. Nuh uh. It's just "The Flags" because in case you forgot, Chuuya is one of the Flags. He's part of the group. And I'm sure he would like to he known as part of the group and not just some dude the others are hanging out with.

Modern AU BSD headcanons because Traumabringer still makes me cry

Chuuya has tattoos and piercings and probably plays guitar and Dazai is making fun of him for being such a "stereotypical hot man" (he's simping over him)

Lippmann is an actor and he's so invested in the drama. He knows all the theories and definitely says "Thank you, Beyoncé" from time to time for funsies

Yosano is a doctor and every time she has a man act like she's a nurse and asks to be seen by a male doctor she needs to be physically stopped from making the men need a doctor even more

Ranpo always calls out the ppl who turn out to be shitty (like all the minecraft ytbers) and now every single time someone starts being a fan of some celebrity they ask Ranpo if they should be aware of something

Kyouka loves shoujo anime and everyone except Atsushi (and Ranpo) was shocked. Kunikida takes her from time to time to buy manga/merch

Tachihara and Albatross have a garage together. (Why? Cuz I said so)

And Odasaku and Iceman have a bar together. It's the most quiet and nice bar you'll ever be in (except when Dazai and Chuuya are there at the same time)

Fukuzawa is like a principal or smth in a school and everyone is afraid of him and tries to stay out of trouble because of that but every single time a student talks to him they realize that Fukuzawa is probably one of the nicest adults in the school

Mori is still the head of some mafia. Every1 knows that. Nobody has enough proof to arrest him

Atsushi is taking guitar lessons from Chuuya because he thinks guitars are so cool but Akutagawa told him that if he plays that thing too loud he's gonna strangle Atsushi with the strings (yes they live together pushing my sskk agenda)

Naomi listens to Chappell Roan

Tanizaki is surprisingly good in maths but nobody told him that so he thinks he sucks

Haruno is studying psychology (she wants to see exactly what's wrong with her friends)

Dazai watched AoT and keeps telling Chuuya "You're just like Levi. Short."

Chuuya posted one video of himself playing guitar and the comments were so weird he deleted his account

Kouyou is a ballet teacher. She tried making Chuuya get lessons but he refused, just like he refused Lippmann when it came to acting/modeling

Kyuu and Kenji are besties. No one knows how that happened

So I read the chapter of Traumabringer yesterday and I was reminded in what, 30 pages?, that it is in fact, the bringer of trauma. Because that's my baby. He's 16! Like be so fr.

Everybody's already analyzed his room, and I partially agree with the "he doesn't even know what he likes" thing. Yes, that is definitely one of the reasons why his room is so empty, why everything is so not teenager like. But I feel like that's not the only reason. At the time, Chuuya wasn't the biggest fan of the Mafia. Yes, he did swear loyalty to Mori, but at that point in life he was still mad at the Mafia for taking the Sheep away, for forcing him to join and all of that. So he refuses to use mafia's money. Only at the end he becomes "part of the family". 'Til then he was there just for the Sheep's safety. So by not using mafia's money he's proving (mostly to himself) that he's not one of them.

Also, the Sheep had nothing. So why would he get to spend money if they didn't?

Another reason could be that he doesn't see the point of decorations or anything else. Again, he grew up with nothing, so a bunch of shit on the walls and different kinds of furniture feel useless.

Then, abt the fact the chapter literally starts with Chuuya having nightmares (take this, "Chuuya doesn't dream" squad) In the book, it's said he woke up sweating and having a feeling he couldn't explain. Probably because (as shown in the manga) he had a nightmare he couldn't remember. And his nightmare is obviously a memory. I've alr seen theories the person shown in his dream is N and with that one I agree. How his fingers look like in the pic looks like he's pressing them against glass, looking at Chuuya while he's being experimented on. (Also y he bald?)

Another thing I noticed is that Hoshikawa added a bottle of alcohol there and I will cry. That's a baby take the alcohol away from him. Anyway, I think the presence of the alcohol there is to show how bad Chuuya was feeling. The bottle seems empty. (I dunno, I'm feeling like a literature teacher analyzing why the door is green in some poem wrote in 1300 BC)

On a less serious note, is it me or was Doc supposed to be the shortest one. I was sure he's the shortest, Iceman the tallest, Pianoman and Lippmann around the same height, a bit shorter than Iceman and Albatross like 5 or 6 cm taller than Chuuya. Idk maybe it's just their positioning but wtv.

And have y'all seen how bbg Lippmann looks like? Actually, all of them look very bbg.

And Chuuya's hair is pretty. Pretty af. I love it. I love him.

So I'm re-reading the manga because the lack of new content is killing me and I got to the dungeon scene. And Chuuya says he's been away for like 6 months in the West.

And with this, I remembered 2 things.

First, in the first ep, there's a scene with a guy on a red motorbike passing by Atsushi and we all thought it was Chuuya.

But Chuuya was in the West at the time. He just returned to Japan when the dungeon scene takes place and this was like a week later or something. So, as much as I like the idea of Chuuya appearing before Dazai that's not him.

Second, Chuuya went to the West, right? Who else is in the West? Adam. And Shirase.

Do you think he visited them? I mean, it's said Shirase complained often about not being in Yokohama. Who else could he complain to but Chuuya? Maybe they're still in contact. Still friends.

And Chuuya got really close to Adam. They gotta still be friends. And what better chance to spend time with an AI than when you're on a mission for the Port Mafia?
