Finally getting around to this! I've been neglecting asks (sorry about that guys) this post will probably be pretty long so I hope I'm keeping you fed until I get the motivation to do the other asks 😔. (The other ones probably won't take as long as I'm really sorry 😭)

okay so, I love rarepairs plus they're both hotties so like why not! I don't specifically remember where I first saw this ship but I'm pretty sure it was on ao3. I've always been a super huge giant fan of rarepairs so I think about them a lot...too much maybe.

In terms of stuff I've seen about them; I like the redemption AUs that I've seen around the fandom once or twice BUT may I suggest instead of Gatlocke getting better César gets worse. ohhh, yeahhhh living on the wild side!!!. I just don't think Gatlocke would play nice for that long. But he sees César, maybe he knows César (that could be how he got his arm fixed I'm just saying) and is willing to work with him. For his own benefit OBVIOUSLY

I think César CONSTANTLY having to fix/do maintenance on Gatlocke's arms is super funny. Like, César does it once (most likely out of an obligation of some sort, like his JOB.) and Gatlocke just keeps coming back to the lab after every fight or accident he gets into. At some point he's completely lost the plot and just goes over there for funsies. He even starts showing up to Cesar's apartment and like throws rocks at his window until he's let in. He's like a stray cat. You feed him once and he never goes away. Not to say César doesn't like it. The first time César examined Gatlocke's arm he was genuinely impressed with the craftsmanship and found them to be a very interesting side project of his. Not to mention Gatlocke is really funny to him. Like he just makes him giggle. It can get annoying really fast though. Also I just really like using rarepairs for AUs and other stories I make. For example, these two are a big part of a continuation AU I've had on the back burner for a while, they are way more developed in my head. But for now I kind of just like drawing them cuz I think they aesthetically look nice together(?????😭)

Anyways I have some random HCs I don't know how to fit in that paragraph so I'll just leave them here:

- Sometimes César will just sit in silence and do work or just think. Gatlocke is not a fan of this. He hates the silence. It's not that he hates to think, he just likes to do it out loud.

- Gatlocke likes to disrupt this "silent thinking time" anyway he can. Talking, moving things in the office around, singing, destroying things. It's like a game of "who can outdo who" César's calm vs Gatlocke's restlessness. Who can last the longest without breaking.

- This usually ends with Gatlocke getting kicked out, but at least it was fun while it lasted.

- Gatlocke actually never asked Cesar to join his gang. Like not once. In fact, he doesn't really talk about the gang in front of Cesar. It's kinda like a break.

- He also keeps his meetings with Cesar a secret, so his gang is lowkey suspicious of him.

- As for Cesar, he's not announcing it, but if someone were to ask why a weirdo mad max themed pirate guy was hanging around him, he wouldn't lie.???

- Unless it was White or Rex cuz then he'd probably get fired. Rex would probably have some choice words for him.

- I don't feel like they talk about ideological stuff very much but Cesar doesn't 'disagree' with some stuff Gatlocke says. Like, yes, it's extreme but not entirely wrong. Although he would much rather live in a small apartment across town (due to Providence budget cuts after the second nanite event) than live out in the desert, blowing things up for a living.

- idk if you can tell but I don't think Cesar thinks very highly of Gatlocke. He just kind of lets him hang around. But if they were working as an actual team all the 'playful' bickering the two do would turn ugly pretty fast.

Yeah, so I like them because if they did have a canon interaction I think it would be fun. And since I'm super starved for content I just made a bunch of scenarios up in my head. Lol

NOEX.

YUMMY 2010 YOAI. Oh boy. Where do I get started.

So I love this ship, but not in the stereotypical "I think they would be cute together" way. It's more like "YAY! two teenage boys who have no idea how to communicate their feelings for each other. AWESOME" way. Like do I think Noah and Rex ever end up with each other? No. Do I think if they both got out of lala land and actually communicated that things would go a lot better. PROBABLY.

I think they're friends. But 'just friends' doesn't really describe it properly. Rex being the stupid hormonal teenage boy he is has a big old boycrush of Noah. Which is weird to him cuz he thought he was in to Circe?? (two things can be true at the same time *WINK*). Ok, look, Noah isn't stupid. He knows Rex is a little awkward. I mean, Noah is he's only 'normal" friend. So, of course Rex has some conflicting feelings about if his best friend is JUST his best friend or if it's something more. Noah kind of doesn't know how to feel? It's not that he doesn't like Rex. It's just that his has a girlfriend, and well he wants to stay with her. Plus how would that even work with him and Rex. Would they become boyfriends? Live together? Buy a house? Have a family? The short answer is no. Noah can't imagine them in those scenarios and honestly neither can Rex. But that doesn't fix anything. Cuz they still got awkward crushes.

Things get crazy when Noah moves away for college. Rex is freaking out cuz he doesn't want to lose his best friend and feels like Noah is too chill about this. LIKE WHAT IF THEY LOSE CONTACT OR NOAH FINDS COOLER NON EVO FRIENDS IN COLLEGE. Rex is kind of taking this pretty hard. And Unfortunately (mostly due to there being a lot on his plate) it kind of goes over Noah's head. (Again not the norm as he's usually pretty good at knowing wants up with Rex).

Okay, I kind of didn't intend to make this a thematic type blurb when I started writing. But, oops. the long and the short of it they're bromance verges into romance just a little. Mostly cuz Rex is a mess and doesn't know what emotions equate with what feelings. I have an idea for a fanfiction about the two. Basically a country road trip too bringing Noah and all of his stuff to his dorm for college. They spend like a week and a half together. But Rex is acting off. Now that him and Circe are officially dating and he's still kind of wondering why the feelings he's feeling for Noah aren't going away (ig he thought being w/ Circe would magically make the other feelings go away) This fic would be where Rex finally tells Noah everything and it's just kind of awkward. They probably kiss and it just, kind of, feels wrong (cuz like they both have girlfriends) IDK IDK. They occupy my brain space alotttt. I really like seeing them as a traditional pairing in fan art but my personal interpretation is a lot more complicated and AWKWARD!!! VERY AWKWARD! So like I don't even know if I can count this as like fully shipping them. Cuz like I do but I don't.

Hopefully this isn't too out of character because I honestly might write that fanfiction I don't know.

I don't really have a lot of hcs so this is pretty bare bones.

- Rex always beats Noah when they're playing video games. (Rex is definitely cheating)

- Noah kind of has a way with people. Like he's very good at reading their emotions. Rex is like an open book to him, even if he tried to hide it.

- Rex still regularly brings up Noah's "betrayal" in season 1 and Noah just gets so embarrassed about it. Like Rex isn't pressed about it anymore. But he knows it pushes Noah's buttons so he brings it up whenever he gets the chance.

- I feel like Rex's need to feel normal definitely contributes to his inferiority complex to Noah which DEFINITELY feeds into his little crush

- Also Holiday totally caught on to what's going on between the two and on several occasions has tried to talk to Rex about it but he's oblivious.

ANYWAYS... I haven't flushed out negative Albedo as much as everyone else but I still have a few things!..

Albedo is a happy-go-lucky mega fan

I know another post I've said that Earth was not an open planet and such, but I've decided to change that now it's literally the opposite.

Aliens have always lived on earth as well as humans. Most alien species migrated to Earth around the Middle ages and have kind of just been living there ever since.

So basically super cool technological stuff is kind of the norm.

all this to say the Negatrix is not a big deal. People just kind of don't care about it.

So basically Ben and all of his "accomplishments" are nothing special:⁠-⁠P

SOOOOO

Albedo is the only Galvan that is known to be alive on record (The whole Galvan race was wiped out by a disease or something) He feels really ostracized because of that. He has no one to mate with, no really friends, and people really tend to baby him (cuz he's small and also technically a precious piece of history). NO ONE UNDERSTAND HIM!!!.

So when he learns about the Negatrix, he recreates his own, like prime Albedo. He ends up being a really big fan of the Negatrix and to an extension Ben. So when his Negatrix malfunctions he's actually really happy. Not only does he look like his hero but he also isn't stuck as a Galvan. Idk it feels more natural to him.

So basically he's winning at life.

He starts to do hero work, which turns out he's actually really good at it and starts to get recognized as a hero.

(cuz like people don't just not like Ben cuz he's not good enough. It's cuz he sucks at doing public services cuz he's a selfish little butt weasel)

So like Ben starts to get super jealous of Albedo and ends up lowkey hating him.

Albedo goes to Earth to find Ben just to clear the air and is like "sorry if I stole your thunder your really cool tho!"

Ben is NOT HAVING IT so he goes home and cries and probably vague tweets about him on Twitter.

Anyways all of Ben's family loves Albedo and they invite him over for dinner and stuff. They're like "WOW ben you should totally take a page out of Albedo's book he's super nice!!!"

Ben goes up to his room and cries about it and then he tries to fight Albedo and get his ass kicked cuz albedo's Omnitrix is way cooler
