🚨 Visa Update! Starting April 10, 2025, Australia, Canada, and US citizens must have a visa for Brazil entry. Also need to share bank statements first.

Good news: Tourists and cruise-goers can now apply for an evisa online, saving a trip to the consulate. It's $80.90, valid for 10 years with multiple entries, but stays capped at 90 days/year. This was initially slated for 2024 but is now making a comeback after a brief hiatus since 2019.

Day 9 of 10 for the 10 day Favorite Travel Pic Challenge. Every day I select an image from my travel pictures that had an impact on me and post it. That’s 10 days and 10 photos. Today is day 9 😊 Petra, Jordan. Traveling to the famous Treasury (Al-Khazneh) and then allllllll the way up to the Monastery. Most of us were so exhausted on the way back that we got camels to ride back to the Treasury once we were back down from the Monastery. The camel's kiss was given to me at the Treasury before the walk out and back to the hotel where we were staying literally right across the street from the entrance to Petra. Riding a camel is not anything like riding a horse. LOL! Day 8 of 10 for the 10 day Favorite Travel Pic Challenge. Every day I select an image from my travel pictures that had an impact on me and post it. That’s 10 days and 10 photos. Today is day 8 😊 This picture was taken sitting on top of the lions at Trafalgar Square in London. We had just arrived in London that morning. The legend goes that if you are able to climb up to the Lions and sit between their paws, you are supposed to have good luck. Well, I thoroughly debunked that myth. As I was getting down from the 6-ish foot tall base, I heard and felt something pop in my chest on the right side. Turns out that I fractured a rib and popped ligaments in between more ribs. This was the first day of 17 in Europe. It hurt to even breathe! I still had an amazing time, even with the pain. I'm here to tell you that rib injuries take several months to heal. Somehow, I kept tweaking mine and they were not fully healed for about 8 months. But I just really love this picture! Today is day 7 😊 Honestly, I think this is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. Here is a Russian Orthodox Jew walking through the heavily trafficked Muslim quarter inside the Old City walls in Jerusalem. In front of him leads up to the Damascus Gate, one of 7 gate entrances to the Old City. In back of him are armed IDF soldiers behind barricades, keeping alert for any hint of trouble.
