Moreover, we’re still being sued by The Satanic Temple in federal appellate court and now King County Superior Court.
TST is also still suing Newsweek and its reporter (but maybe not her anymore!) for writing about us. In addition, The Satanic Temple is now suing a TikToker in Texas for talking about our case. Check the pinned post for more.
My vote for Beto (among many other things including, obviously, straight D on all the partisan races) got counted! So I guess this is my "I Voted" sticker for 2022.
If you're a Texas voter, and you've voted absentee and want to see the status of your ballot, or your ballot request, here's the website I used for that. If you're in the Austin metropolitan area, I recommend the Austin Chronicle's endorsements page as a guide to figuring out who to vote for in the non-partisan section of the ballot -- since "no party" doesn't mean people can't have very partisan opinions. That's the longer, annotated version; here's a short one, too, that you can take to the ballot box with you.
If you're a US citizen who is over 18, please vote in the midterms wherever you are! And vote for Democrats! Keeping as much control of the Congress as possible is the only way to halt the spread of fascism, something the other party is openly endorsing now. And the people who support those fascists are voting. So you should definitely want to out-vote them. People trying to convince you not to vote are people who don't want you to have a voice in politics, and you should not listen to them. Check out my "voting" tag for more on this and if you want any arguments against those people, but the best thing to do is not to argue with trolls online, just go to the polls and get as many of your friends as you can to go with you.

Austin - Zilker Metropolitan Park: Barton Springs Pool par Wally Gobetz Via Flickr : Barton Springs Pool, located in the channel of Barton Creek on the grounds of Zilker Metropolitan Park, is a man-made recreational swimming pool filled with water from Main Barton Spring, the fourth largest spring in Texas. Three acres in size, and running approximately 1/8 of a mile in length, the pool's temperature maintains a narrow range from about 68.0 °F in the winter to about 71.5 °F in the summer. Long before Barton Springs Pool was built, the springs were considered sacred and were used for purification rituals by the Tonkawa Native American tribe who inhabited the area. Spanish explorers first discovered the springs in the 17th century, and around 1730 erected temporary missions at the site before moving to San Antonio). In 1837, soon after incorporation of the city of Austin, William "Uncle Billy" Barton, the springs' namesake, settled the area and promoted the springs as a swimming hole. The last private owner of the property, Andrew Jackson Zilker, deeded it to Austin in 1918 and during the 1920s, the city undertook a construction project to create a larger swimming area by damming the springs and building sidewalks. The bathhouse was constructed in the 1940s and modeled after the design of the bathhouse at Deep Eddy Pool.
