Thank God that I got VIP+ tickets and what not. But let’s get started with the line up.
For weeks Subkulture has been saying that the official lineup was 8am. I woke up at 5:52am and started getting ready so that I could survey the area and actually lineup at 8am. I got there at 7:15 in the morning and there was already 100-200 lined up. Everyone was in one line and this was the official line.
I was able to get (6) people who I met from the fandom in line. By 12pm there was already 500-1000 people lined up. The security was rude at times and had no idea what the subkulture staff were doing. There was an obvious miscommunication between the two.
I met a lot of fans in line, got the fanbanners I wanted and overall had fun in line. I rushed to get ready at 12pm because I didn’t want to lose my place in line.
The fans in the line were wack AF. When we were playing bts songs, no one sang along or dance along. Some fans were more worried about being beautiful than actually having fun.
So getting into the venue was a mess, we got our wristbands for VIP+ and were linedup really weird. Instead of instantly dividing us in a line, three people side by side, the security was pulling people fROM the back and letting them skip us.
The pit was the worst thing since the Original Sin by Adam and Eve. No jokes. I’m 4"9 and I felt like dying. However!!!! There was 5 fangirls around me who were protecting me and making sure I was getting water and being able to see. Ladies, if you see this, God Bless you. I love you so much to the point of tears. You guys were brave and loving and caring. God is truly, truly going to bless y'all.
Bless A.R.M.Y who were nice in the pit. I shouted out how tall I was and they let me go in front of them. Y'all was able to get me in front row but not completely leaning on the barricades. I could touch it tho no complants here.
One of the security guards named Kris/Chris was the chillest homie ever. He was pulling out cold water bottles left and right to keep us from dying. There was a (sorry for this LOL, I didn’t get his name) white boy guard who was kinda cute but looked too happy to be squirting water into our mouths tf do your job dude.
The pushing in the pit started WAYY before the VCRs and Asiana Airlines Ad even showed. It was ridiculous. Never do the pit. Always get seated. There was people passing out in line before we even got in the venue and people passing out during the VCR.
I couldn’t understand a thing they were saying. The speakers weren’t that good. Yoongi was speaking in English and I missed it!!!! But he did aegyo so.
I was ready to just die in the pit but I got so much energy when Namjoon had announced that no one should be pushing and made us promise. I was seriously having an anxiety attack in the pit and I was burning up. I felt like vomiting.
I was more focused on tracking Yoongi on stage. Sorry y'all. But I did get some eye contact with Jimin, Taehyung, Seokjin and Jungkook. Yoongi didn’t even look at me (maybe because I was hidden in the crowd.)
When Jimin lifted up his shirt, there was like pink lines/stratches/imprints on his abdomen. Like a belt was wrapped around him or someone will long nails stratched him up? Please don't assume anything about that however. We don't need anymore pain and suffering to come i to this fandom.
My bun came out, my bra got unhooked, but my eyeliner was still on fleek tho. God bless Maybelline liquid eyeliner pen. Someone lost her phone in the pit and someone else lost their ID. A lot of people in the pit were unable to hold up the free fanbanners bc they got lost, blocked other views or didn’t even have space to move their arms (like me). My white halter top is so sweaty and it turned off white/gray because of the ikkyness of the pit.
Jimin looked so worried everytime there was pushing like he looked me in the eye and he looked so remorseful. I wanted to hold his hand and reassure my baby. He was so shocked to see everyone in pain and distressed.
Overall, I couldn’t really enjoy the boys because of the pit. I could barely see bc there was hair in my face and the pushing. The pushing was worst than it is on Black Friday weekend yo.
As everyone knows, the hitouch and group snapshot was canceled because of an anti-fans threat to shoot Namjoon. She was in Ontario, Canada and not NYC but got the picture off Google. It is understandable why they would take the threat seriously. I would rather the boys be safe than to be able to hitouch them.
No underwear or bras were thrown on stage. No one was yelling at Namjoon to apologize. Not bad actually happened. It was just pit nonsense and the antifans.
Please do understand that the colorist comments made did offend people. Don’t blame them for being offended, okay? Literally everyone was trying to educate Namjoon instead of sending death threats. Death threats came from nonblack fans trying to impersonate black fans and ruin their reputation and non/anti-A.R.M.Y
NYC A.R.M.Y and all the other A.R.M.Y like me who came from out of state were really loving and funny and kind, however.
If BTS and bighit choose to come back to the states, there has to be tighter security, allowing pictures/videos, more water, seated pit and a better time frame where they aren’t just finishing a comeback/there’s no school/they’re had plenty of rest/there’s no drama going on.
I just can’t believe all the hell I went through for that experience. If you have any questions, you can reblog and put them there.
UPDATE**** The other tours dates are going to have their hitouch. I am so salty that I have turned into salt that will be floating off into the ocean. Subkulture hasn’t even mentioned anything about a refund just that they are making up for it to us in the future. I am not from NYC so I can only get a refund. I can’t been spending $1000 out of nowhere. I don’t work and my allowance is only $20 that’s towards concert funds, school stuff, and college.
