Did I mention yet how important physical contact with bare skin is for him because of that? Since he can no longer feel things by touching them it is the only moment when he feels proper warmth or anything :’). IMAGINE ALL THE MOMENTS WHEN SOMEONE ACTUALLY GIVES SOMETHING INTO HIS HAND AND HE JUST DOESNT FEEL ANYTHING - BUT HE NEVER SAYS A WORD AND JUST SMILES. OR JUST TEASES THEN. BUT NEVER FOR ONCE HE SAYS ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT IT - NOT EVEN THAT HE DOES NOT FEEL ANYTHING INSIDE HIS HANDS ANYMORE.  Like when people say “that meat is hot!!” HE WILL PRETEND HE FEELS IT. He got used to pretend it; for several reasons - which is also why no one notices. (Sometimes assuming he’s just a slowpoke when he’s injured and doesn’t say a word about it - or assuming he’s just incredibly tough with pain tolerance.)

Kohaku could just feel their blood boiling at the sight of Yotsuyu, icy eyes glaring her down. It was obvious the woman thought she was untouchable, especially when her Garlean subordinates were around. Every evil thing Kohaku had witnessed in their life was because of this woman.

Every death. Every widow. Every orphan.

“Do not be mistaken. You are dangerous, yes. But I am not afraid of you... Not now~”

There were so many questions running through Kohaku’s head, but in the end, any answer Yotsuyu could give would not be satisfying. Nothing she could say would be a good enough reason to betray and torture your own people. Yet they still asked,

“Why..?” Kohaku’s voice trembled with suppressed anger, “What possessed you to think that making people suffer was right?! Children like me! What did we do to deserve this!”
