I’m afraid of spiders, can you help me overcome my fears of them

its easier said than done, i have a lot of people tell me that my own casual spider loveposting has helped. i think its also useful to educate urself on spider anatomy [i.e. venom and defensive behaviours] and learn about the nebulous myriad of misinfo on spiders that has caused people to be so afraid of them. ive linked a few posts of mine here that might help!

heres a post explaining brown recluses and their fearmongering, which is a good example of how misinformation causes people to be afraid of objectively docile spiders. this is a post explaining venom and defense mechanisms of spiders, obvi the "theyre more scared of u than u are of them" spiel is often said but its easier to rationalize it when u know their behaviour. this post goes really in depth with lots of sources on spider anatomy and evolution
