"Joaquin Le Chien" - or, in normal Simlish, "walking the dog." It's succinct. It's memorable. It makes other Sims laugh as much as they groan. So, perfect stage name, right?
Wrong. Apparently in these parts, a punny stage name attracts all the wrong kind of attention.
Especially once your roommate ... but we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's start at the beginning.
Everyday and Formal looks.
Joaquin's problem is and always was that he's an Outgoing Music Lover and Goofball who wants to be Fabulously Wealthy. Even with his Business Savvy, those traits don't always lead to untold riches.
Unless you get creative. So Joaquin got creative. He learned how to spin the discs and started to build a following on social media and in Windenburg clubs. He went to college, too. Right now he's only an Open Mic Seeker, but his had - has - big plans. Get big enough that the music industry execs notice, then smoothly transition over to the business side of the music biz - you know, where all the real money is.
Athletic and PJs.
And everything was going so well! He'd gotten in with the Spin Masters, learning from the expert Dominic and keeping an eye on Candy. She'd be a great intro talent for him to bring to the record labels, assuming he won her trust.
He even scored himself some sweet digs on the Crumbling Isle and a roommate who completely agreed with him about what was really important in life.
Party and Swim.
And then Sergio went and got himself turned into a Werewolf.
Ok, fine, cool. This is livable. Joaquin invested in some sturdy door locks and made sure all his personal belongings were locked up tight when he left the house. (Normie Sergio wouldn't touch his stuff, but Werewolf Sergio might have other ideas.) He also told Sergio that any clogged drains in the shower were his responsibility. And together, they tried to keep Sergio's new anger management under wraps.
Except someone found out.
Hot Weather and Cold Weather.
Her name was Elle, a blonde with legs for days and a smile that glinted in the moonlight. She said she was an arts critic trying to learn more about Windenburg's underground music scene. Would Joaquin show her around?
Hell, yeah, Joaquin would! He brought her to all the best clubs. And then she invited him home.
Joaquin doesn't remember much of what happened then. Just sitting on the couch with Elle, hanging on to every last word she said. Nodding along when she told him she could help him ascend to a higher plane of existence. Smiling when she sunk her fangs into his wrist.
And then--well.
Vampire looks.
He turned into a fucking Vampire!
When Joaquin finally realized what he had agreed to, when he finally asked why - Elle just laughed.
"It's because of your name, silly boy. And your roommate. The dog needs walking. Go!"
So. Yeah. Joaquin's a bloodsucker now. Living with a Werewolf.
He definitely should have picked a different stage name.
South Square Coffee is an interesting lot. I really liked the exterior and the landscaping. I hated the inside. I also thought that Windenburg (and indeed Tredonia as a whole) didn't need two cafés, though I can see why it made sense for EA to build two cafés when the pack released.
So I decided to renovate the lot, make it a thrift and bubble tea store, and The Tea at Olde Platz was born!
The first story is the thrift store. There are clothing racks, assorted ... stuff to browse, and even an area to change and try on clothes (and woohoo in the closet). Plus bathrooms!
I'm still super fond of this dark wood and stone color scheme. And I built this lot back in 2023.
The bubble tea shop is upstairs and has a separate entrance.
Upstairs, there are conversation nooks, tons of seating, a bubble tea station, and a coffee bar (thanks to Kuttoe's NPCs Everywhere).
The Avant Gardes still have a private meeting room! Don't ask me how they convinced the owner of the bubble tea shop to let them take over a whole room, but they have one!
I have to show off the second-floor bathrooms - they are, in my not-bothering-to-be-humble opinion, a very good use of the space.
When I'm feeling intimidated by a big build (which happens every time I do a big build), I tend to focus on a smaller area first to get a feel for what I want to do.
So I did the chapel! This is meant to be a Peteran worship space, but it's still rather fancy because royalty. I also added a crypt below said chapel. Is it really a castle if there isn't a crypt?
The Marketplace is fully landscaped (sans terrain paint)! We have plants, walking paths, and hardscaping for contrast. Plus a couple shots of the place all lit up at night.

Once upon a time, Tredonia was the heartland of the great medieval kingdom that stretched from the fog-filled forests of Uberwald to the rocky shores of the Aarby Coast and the bucolic hills of Simgland. Nowadays, while SimNation’s political center of gravity has shifted to the Myshuno Metropole, Tredonia remains at the center of art and culture - or at least, that’s what its residents think. Explore the winding cobblestone streets of Windenburg or patronize one of Nordhaven’s up-and-coming small businesses - whatever you want to do, Tredonia is here to welcome you.
Tredonia is composed of two worlds:
Windenburg
Nordhaven
And is adjacent to the following regions:
Simgland
Aarby Coast
Uberwald
Economy of Tredonia
The economy of Tredonia is as diverse as it is robust. Tredonia is home to many renowned firms, including the publishing giant Walrus Books and the famed investment enterprise Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe. The region was one of the first to industrialize, but unlike Rusty Lakes, they've had much better luck turning their former industrial core into thriving small business districts.
In short, opportunity abounds in Tredonia - it's just a matter of seizing it.
Government of Tredonia

Like much of SimNation, Tredonia has a bicameral parliamentary legislature. The lower house, the Tredonian Diet, is composed of individually elected representatives chosen via ranked-choice voting. The upper house is called the Tredonian Senate, and its members are elected via proportional representation.
Tredonia was the seat of the great medieval kingdom, and while many (most) parts of how that kingdom was governed have passed away, one very important thing remains: the Tredonian monarch is still the head of state.
Politics of Tredonia
Tredonia is the swing region, and its politics tend to be a bellwether for SimNation's as a whole. Simoleons for Everyone tends to do better in good economic times, while No Sim Left Behind performs better in poor economic times. The Foundation for Less Mischief and World United are constantly fighting for votes. Speak for the Trees tends to have a consistently small-but-respectable showing, making them an important power-broker in the regional parliament.
Religion of Tredonia

Unsurprisingly given its history, Tredonia is mostly a Watcher-worshiping region. The Peteran and Jacoban faiths are far and away the most popular in the region, with the Jacoban faith being slightly more popular than the Peteran. Yet both the Cult of the Cowplant and Congregation of Non-Believers are growing fast. The Treaders of the Occult is the least popular faith, with most adherents being transplants from the Shih Shores and their descendants.
Like all orange cats, Cheddar Munch only has partial use of a single brain cell. But even he can see that all isn't right with his Sims.
Frisky, Talkative, and Curious, Cheddar insists on being up in everyone's business. But most of the Sims just push him away. The two big males seem to have no time or patience for him. The female has a bit more patience, but she's always exhausted, and all she can do is sit quietly with him and pet him when she's feeling down. (Which is often.)
At least the little one is willing to be Cheddar's friend. He's always down for a chat and some playtime. And he likes showing Cheddar these pieces of paper (which Cheddar is not allowed to eat, alas).
Cheddar will take it. And enjoy it. And hope that when the little one gets big, he isn't as mean as the big males.
Take ye olde deep breath and enjoy the mountain air. This green, expansive playground has got it all; lush countryside, serene and rocky cliffs, a quaint village with remnants of the old world all nestled around the modern shore side business center.
Windenburg! This is probably the world I've built the most for over the years. Is that just because it's the world with the most lots? Or is it because it's my favorite?
Honestly, I have no idea.
But let's talk about our usual stuff when we start a new world: NAPs, primary lot traits, and primary lots challenges.

The Crumbling Isle
The Crumbling Isle is a bit of a misnomer for this part of town. There's nothing here but glorious high-end real estate as far as the eye can see.
