Everyone knows the Luna Villareal of her teenage years - the romantic, vapid young woman with a childish streak a mile wide.
But what was she like before then? Before she and her brothers grew apart? Before her father became even more erratic, childish, and strange? Before she was left motherless?
Everyday and Formal looks.
If you were hoping for a bold tomboy ... think again. Luna's always been a girly-girl.
But now, she's got an Active Imagination, and her number one desire in life is to be a Playtime Captain.
Athletic and PJs.
She knows she's not likely to be a captain over her brother Hugo. Despite being her twin, Hugo prefers his own company far too much for join any posse Luna might put together.
But that's all right. There are plenty of kids in Windenburg, after all. She's sure to make many friends.
Party and Swim.
Besides, there are benefits to having lots of friends outside the house. While little baby Max is cute, he can't really do much - and a lot of Mama's time is spent taking care of him. Mama says that's the nature of babies, though. When he gets bigger, he'll be more involved and more interesting, and take up less of Mama's time.
But even when Mama isn't spending all her time on baby Max, she's spending a lot of it in the basement ... in the locked storage room where Hugo and Luna can't go.
Hot Weather and Cold Weather.
It's weird. Luna isn't sure what she does there.
She isn't sure she wants to know, either.
But for now, Luna has her mama, her papa, her brothers (bletch), and lots of friends in Windenburg and Nordhaven.
Most people know Jacques Villareal as the eccentric old man of Windenburg, always up to something nefarious, surrounded by kids he could barely control. And Jacques certainly always has been eccentric and nefarious. But he wasn't always old. And the kids weren't always that hard to keep an eye on.
He had a wife, too, once.
Let's go back to those days.
Everyday and Formal looks.
Even before he turned completely gray, Jacques was an Erratic, Childish Genius. He had a Dastardly streak a mile wide, but before becoming a Public Enemy, he wanted to be a Chief of Mischief.
And life, more or less, was good.
Athletic and PJs.
In later years, the townsfolk would whisper about his wife - his Isidora - and speculate on what might have happened to her. Where she was now. Why she disappeared, leaving her strange husband and three children behind.
But in those days? Isidora was Jacques's delight. She was his beloved wife, the mother of three wonderful children - twins Hugo and Luna, and now baby Max.
Party and Swim.
And Jacques himself was standing on the precipice of greater-than-ever career success. You see, the Altos had just gotten out of the criminal underworld - scored themselves a Noble title and gone legitimate.
That left an opening.
Hot Weather and Cold Weather.
Jacques was already a master of dealing pills. And he was still technically only The Brains of his current criminal enterprise. But he had big plans for his future. Plans that would finally let him take the Villareals to the heights they deserved.
The only question was ... would those plans be the making of the Villareals? Or the ruin of them?
Hope you enjoyed meeting my take on Jacques! Once I get the save file fully set up, I'll be playing out a whole story with the Villareal family - so stay tuned!
"Joaquin Le Chien" - or, in normal Simlish, "walking the dog." It's succinct. It's memorable. It makes other Sims laugh as much as they groan. So, perfect stage name, right?
Wrong. Apparently in these parts, a punny stage name attracts all the wrong kind of attention.
Especially once your roommate ... but we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's start at the beginning.
Everyday and Formal looks.
Joaquin's problem is and always was that he's an Outgoing Music Lover and Goofball who wants to be Fabulously Wealthy. Even with his Business Savvy, those traits don't always lead to untold riches.
Unless you get creative. So Joaquin got creative. He learned how to spin the discs and started to build a following on social media and in Windenburg clubs. He went to college, too. Right now he's only an Open Mic Seeker, but his had - has - big plans. Get big enough that the music industry execs notice, then smoothly transition over to the business side of the music biz - you know, where all the real money is.
Athletic and PJs.
And everything was going so well! He'd gotten in with the Spin Masters, learning from the expert Dominic and keeping an eye on Candy. She'd be a great intro talent for him to bring to the record labels, assuming he won her trust.
He even scored himself some sweet digs on the Crumbling Isle and a roommate who completely agreed with him about what was really important in life.
Party and Swim.
And then Sergio went and got himself turned into a Werewolf.
Ok, fine, cool. This is livable. Joaquin invested in some sturdy door locks and made sure all his personal belongings were locked up tight when he left the house. (Normie Sergio wouldn't touch his stuff, but Werewolf Sergio might have other ideas.) He also told Sergio that any clogged drains in the shower were his responsibility. And together, they tried to keep Sergio's new anger management under wraps.
Except someone found out.
Hot Weather and Cold Weather.
Her name was Elle, a blonde with legs for days and a smile that glinted in the moonlight. She said she was an arts critic trying to learn more about Windenburg's underground music scene. Would Joaquin show her around?
Hell, yeah, Joaquin would! He brought her to all the best clubs. And then she invited him home.
Joaquin doesn't remember much of what happened then. Just sitting on the couch with Elle, hanging on to every last word she said. Nodding along when she told him she could help him ascend to a higher plane of existence. Smiling when she sunk her fangs into his wrist.
And then--well.
Vampire looks.
He turned into a fucking Vampire!
When Joaquin finally realized what he had agreed to, when he finally asked why - Elle just laughed.
"It's because of your name, silly boy. And your roommate. The dog needs walking. Go!"
So. Yeah. Joaquin's a bloodsucker now. Living with a Werewolf.
He definitely should have picked a different stage name.
Everything was going so well for Sergio Romeo. He'd just graduated from the University of Britechester with his degree in Language & Literature. He'd gotten a job with Bagley & Buckley LLP as a legal secretary (step one on his path to partner). He was part of the hottest club in town, the Paragons. He was dating the hottest woman in town, Siobhan Fyres.
And then his boss wanted him to go to Rusty Lakes.
Everyday and Formal looks.
But let's back up a second.
Let's start with who Sergio is (was? no, is): a Materialistic, Active, Business Savvy Sim who Hates Children. His number one goal in life is to be Fabulously Wealthy. While he does have a flair for tech, he chose to go into law for a) prestige and b) money.
Athletic and PJs.
And sure, you can get wealth and prestige from tech, but it doesn't have quite the same cachet as being a preeminent partner of one of SimNation's most respected law firms, now, does it?
So like he said. Everything was going well. He even managed to find a decent roommate (a DJ who only introduced himself by his stage name, Joaquin Le Chien - Watcher, Sergio hopes that's his stage name) and some swanky digs on the Crumbling Isle, just steps from Schloss Windenburg and literal royalty (including Duke Hiroto of the excellent fashion sense).
Party and Swim.
And then the partner, Mr. Capp - Margrave Capp, technically, though only a margrave through marriage - called him into his office. Said there was a contract that needed to be negotiated in Evergreen Harbor. Sergio wouldn't be negotiating it, of course, but the team needed a secretary.
Sergio jumped at the chance. Anything to impress the boss, right?
And the trip went well - some land deal down in Evergreen Harbor. The work was done. And then ... the group decided to have some fun on their last night in town. "Let's go down to Moonwood Mill," they said. "Let's check out that weird bar that attracts every occult freak from Del Sol Valley to Brindleton Bay."
So they went. And Sergio, while he was there ...
Hot Weather and Cold Weather.
Let's just say he tangled with the wrong Werewolf.
Now look at him. A hairy, slobbering freak! Every full moon, he runs on a rampage he can't control.
The only one who knows is Joaquin. And Joaquin seemed cool enough with it at first. But now he's hiding in his room, only coming out at night, and smelling kind of funny. Like blood and decay.
