For Aquarius season, it’s a great time to make homemade runes for divination. I’ve also listed a couple runic systems that aren’t as popular as the Futhark system, but are just as powerful and full of magic. ♥️🌙

Ogham is called The Tree Alphabet not only because each letter corresponds with a type of tree, (along with other things,) but also because it is written from the bottom up, making the tines seem like branches growing from a central trunk.
Version 3 of the Early Medieval Tree Alphabets is going well! Here's two pages of Classical Maya, and 1 of Middle Irish.
Translations and descriptions on my deviantArt (it's a lot of words).

I really like the turtle, morning glory vine, and bean plant in the Maya set. I'm also proud of the 'b' in the Irish set. Irish knotwork is HARD. (And the avocado tree with it's one big avocado amuses me a lot!)
My personalized Ogham set I made for myself a couple years ago. Made from clay from my neighbor's yard - hand shaped, hand carved and fired in a cast iron pan in my woodstove 😊
All you need is the code to crack them, and it’s free to download thanks to its creator, the artist Katie Holten.
The Tree Alphabet (which you can download free) was developed by Katie Holten, one of the first recipients of an artist-in-residency with NYC Parks, which tasks artists to explore “the intersection of art, urban ecology, sustainability, nature, and design.”
mini readings today
I’m in the office again pulling ogham coins until about 8pm CST.
So here’s how it goes:
send me a message (please do not reply to the post) and I’ll reply with a picture of your coin and a little mini reading.
All responses will be private unless you ask it to be shared publicly (some like to reblog their readings)
the ogham is often used in much more of a healing path in the way that angel cards are “what do I need to move forward” type questions, but that doesn’t mean that you need to ask that question.
that being said, you also just don’t need a question. Letting the trees talk to you about what’s going is perfectly acceptable
Enjoy!
Ogham Coins today!
For the rest of today I’m pulling ogham coins.
Please think of them as more of a guide in something you need to work on/towards much more than a “fortune-telling” reading. So it’s more like angel cards than tarot.
I’ll send you a picture (as long as my camera cooperates!) of the ogham you receive with some input they give me as well.
Just send me a message, and I’ll reply privately. I’ll never post a reading unless you’ve asked anonymously or wish to share it publicly.
Yes, this is all free today. It will end at about 8pm CST.
