General Skywalker walked into the briefing room where you and the squad were waiting. You all had just come back from a week long mission, so you were tired. Of course you didn’t do much on the field, but having to do repairs to the ships and equipment was tiring also. You sat in one of the chairs as Rex stood behind you. His helmet was on the table in front of you and you observed the multiple tally marks accenting it.

“Alright, team, I know we’ve had a long week. I think you’ll be happy to know that we’re finally getting a break.”

Once he said that, the boys groaned and murmured happily. Anakin chuckled and waved his hand lightly.

“Okay, okay, make sure you’re ready. We’ll be landing in Naboo soon. I’m sure the people would accommodate you ‘cause your soldiers, but make sure you have some credits just in case.”

Everyone dispersed, but you stayed seated and Rex was still in his place behind you. Once everyone had left the room, Rex crouched to meet your eyes with a small smile.

“You finally get to see D/n.”

You nodded, cupping his face gently. It had been two weeks since you told Rex about her and you have yet to let the others know. He hummed before standing up and holding out his hand to you.

“Let’s go get ready.”

You smirked gently before taking it and he pulled up before bringing you flush against his armored chest. You let out a small giggle before he placed a hand on the back of your neck then kissed you tenderly.

You pulled away before whispering, “Is this just a ruse to get me out of my uniform?”

He chuckled while caressing your face, “No. I’d rather get to that in a place like Naboo.”

“You, Captain, don’t know life with a child.” You scoffed, “We wouldn’t find any time to do such acts.”

You pushed him away from you lightly before heading out of the briefing room and to your quarters.

The cruiser landed at a small drop off near the edge of town and the clones filed out, breathing in the untainted air of Naboo. Many of the places they’d go would be plagued with the smell of burning metal and oil, so it was nice to be surrounded by fresher air. Rex led his men down the platform into the hangar with you and General Skywalker by his side. Senator Amidala was waiting with a few other people just outside of the hangar to greet the 501st.

“General Skywalker, Captain Rex, we are very happy to see you’ve gotten to Naboo in one piece.” Senator Amidala greeted with a smile.

“Thank you for letting us stay.” Anakin smiled back, a small glint in his eyes.

You looked at Rex with knowing eyes as he chuckled lightly.

“Y/n, it’s wonderful to see you again.” Padmé smiled and you hugged her gently.

“It has been a long time. Last time I was here, you were off-world. Coruscant I presume?”

“Most likely.” She laughed before turning to the squadron.

“We have multiple skriffs that are here to take you to the pavilion you’ll all be staying at.”

“Thank you, Senator. We are forever grateful.” Rex stated with a small bow of his head.

“Y/n, there’s a personal speeder here to-”

“MOMMY!”

Everyone was caught by surprise when a small voice filled the hangar. You turned, laughed, then dropped your bag to hug the small girl rushing to you. The others of the 501st had bewildered expressions on their faces when they looked at you and the girl.

“Hello, my sweet girl!”

“I missed you, mommy!”

You pulled away and cupped her face, “I missed you too.”

“Rové said you were visiting, I’m so excited!”

“So am I, my love.” You sighed, fixing her hair, “I want to introduce you to some people before we head to the lake, alright?”

She nodded and gripped your hand as you led her over to where Rex and his squad were standing. Rex smiled gently as she looked at all of them, slight confusion on her face.

“Mommy… they have the same face…” D/n whispered, looking up at you.

“Remember, I told you that they’re clones.”

“Clones all look the same?”

“Yes, but they’re very different. They don’t act the same.”

“So… they’re still like us?” She wondered.

“Very much so.” You smiled, looking towards Rex, “This is the Captain of the 501st legion: Rex.”

Rex crouched down to look at her with gentle eyes, “I’ve heard a bit about you.”

She cowered gently behind you, but you laughed, “It’s alright…”

“Wait, you knew?” Fives asked incredulously, which caused Echo to nudge him.

“I found out recently.” Rex murmured, still looking at D/n, “It’s okay, we’ve been keeping your mother safe.”

“Thank you.” She whispered, shyly.

You crouched down and held her shoulders while looking at Rex, “We should let them go to the pavilion to settle down. We’ll go visit them before dinner. Is that alright?”

She nodded and held out her arms, which signified that she wanted to be picked up. You nodded before doing so and looking at Rex and the others.

“We’ll see you all tonight.”

Rex nodded, hating watching you leave, but knowing you needed time with D/n.

You made your way through the pavilion, holding onto your daughter's hand as she babbled about who knows what. You smiled as you watched her, trying to relish your time with her before you have to leave again. Chatter was starting to get louder as you approached the lounge-like balcony where most of the clones were relaxing. Many were seated at a table where food was being served while others stood against the stone railing and talked. Some were also sitting or laying on the loveseats, trying to relax. All of them were out of their armor and in their blacks or wearing attire provided to them by the handmaidens. Most of them greeted you, but you were still looking around trying to find Rex.

“Don’t worry, Y/n. He’ll be here.” Kix laughed as he saw your wandering eyes, then he looked down to your daughter, “Hello, there. I’m Kix.”

“Do you fight like the others?” D/n wondered.

“Yeah, but I’m also a medic. I take care of my brothers when they get injured.”

“You have a lot of brothers.”

Kix chuckled with a nod, “Yeah, and unfortunately, they get hurt a lot.”

She giggled at his comment, which caused you to smile.

“You must have fun being the only kid your mom has.”

“Not really,” D/n shrugged, “It gets lonely when mommy goes away.”

You looked down at her with sad eyes, but then Kix offered to pick her up which she accepted.

“C’mon, let’s go meet the others.” He grinned while walking over to Echo and Fives who were talking with Dogma. You followed hesitantly, still wondering where Rex was.

“Well, hello!” Fives greeted excitedly, “You’re mini Y/n!”

“No I’m not! I’m D/n!”

Echo looked at her closely, “I don't know… maybe you’re a clone of her. The Kaminoans must be working on a new project.”

D/n groaned dramatically which caused them to laugh. They introduced themselves, then Dogma looked at her with no reaction or comments. She looked back at him, squinting gently before speaking.

“Do you like royal cherries?”

Dogma was taken by surprise before laughing, “Haven’t tried them before.”

Hardcase walked over with Tup, greeting you and their brothers then averting their attention to D/n. She looked at them, still in Kix’s arms. She looked at Hardcase, then Tup.

“Why do you have a teardrop under your eye?” She wondered, reaching out and trying to wipe it away, “It’s not going away.”

Tup stood there awkwardly, but Fives only laughed.

“It’s a tattoo. See, Dogma has one, and I have one. So does Hardcase.”

They continued to talk and introduce themselves, but you were distracted by the thought of Rex not being there. He was so excited to see D/n, now you didn’t understand why he wasn’t there.

“Mommy?”

You turned to D/n, who was now in Dogma’s arms, “Yes, my dear?”

“Can I show them the lanterns? Near the square?”

You nodded, looking to Kix to see if that’s okay. He nodded with a smile before following his brothers, who formed a protective wall around D/n as she walked with them to the lanterns. You then turned to look over the lake, leaning against the stone rail. Footsteps approached behind you, which caused you to turn your head slightly. Jesse took a place beside you and sighed.

“It’s beautiful.”

You nodded, still distracted. Jesse looked at you with a smirk before shaking his head.

“He’s coming out soon. Did the boys take D/n?”

“She wanted to show them the lanterns near the square. It’s one of her favorite places other than the royal cherry orchard.” You explained.

“Well, they better get back soon.”

“Why?”

“Don’t worry.” Jesse smiled before going towards the table to get a drink.

After a few minutes, there was a tap on your shoulder, so you turned to see Rex holding D/n.

“There you are. Where are the boys?” You asked while taking D/n into your arms.

“Fives got this great idea of renting a boat and going on the lake.”

“Should we stay and time how fast they all fall in?” You laughed, but Rex shook his head.

“Not today. I have something to show the both of you.”

You furrowed your brows before following him through the corridors of the pavilion vacation home. Rex was giving D/n a piggyback ride, which caused her to giggle and laugh due to him pretending to be a bantha. He made silly noises just so she would be smiling all the way to your destination. You all arrived at a pair of double doors and Rex placed D/n down before pushing them open. You stood in shock once you saw the room. It was large with flowers decorating it, a table accented with food, and multiple different furniture pieces with decorative and comfortable pillows.

“Rex…” You whispered as he held out his hand to you. You took it graciously, still looking around, “What…?”

“I wanted this stay to be special for you and D/n.”

D/n hopped onto the large bed with a giggle, seeing a stuffed mudhorn plushie, “This is so cute!”

“It’s yours.” Rex smiled before sitting on the bed with her.

“Really?”

“Of course.” He caressed her cheek.

D/n held it tight before looking up at him, “Does… does my mommy have to go back with you?”

Rex sighed with a sad nod, “Yeah… I wish she didn’t, but she has to so you’ll be safe.”

“Will you… will you take care of her?”

“I would give my life for her… and for you.”

“Why?”

“Because… I care about your mother a lot. After the war, I wish to stay with her and take care of the both of you.”

“Like… like a father? Or a husband to my mommy?”

Rex managed a small chuckle, cupping her face, “Yes, ad’ika, very much so. Would you like that?”

D/n nodded before hopping into his lap and hugging him tight. He was caught by surprise, but hugged her back tightly. You grinned, relishing this moment and wishing it could last forever.

Could you please write a Wrecker x Reader where he wants reader to teach him how to dance cause he wants to be more involved in her interest but he's just so bad at it that the Batch just laughs and snickers as they watch please?

XPairing: Wrecker x Reader, The Bad Batch x Reader

You sat on top of the roof of the Havoc Marauder, looking up at the starry sky. You had just finished another mission with the Batch and were relaxing at the ship before you had to take off. There was a small fire just beside the ship that the others were sitting around. You kept your gaze averted towards the sky, thinking about your home planet; however, your thoughts were interrupted when the sound of scraping metal against metal reached your ears. You turned your head to see Wrecker struggle to climb on top of the ship, which caused you to laugh quietly.

“Wrecker, you’re scratching the ship!” Tech exclaimed.

“Ah, kriff!” Wrecker caught himself as he almost fell, “I’ll buff it out later, Tech!”

You furrowed your brows as Wrecker approached you, “What are you doing?”

He rubbed the back of his neck, “You looked lonely.”

You nodded before looking back up to the sky.

“You connecting the dots or somethin’?” “No,” You whispered, “Just thinking…”

“About what?”

“My home… around this time, there would be a huge festival.”

“Why?”

“Harvest season… the crops would have grown prosperous so we would celebrate.”

“What do you do at these festivals?”

You shrugged, “A lot. Eat, play games, dance…” You smiled as you thought of when you used to dance in the open fields with your friends, “I used to dance during these festivals…”

“Yeah?”

“Yes… it was the time where I felt I could fly. No need for a ship or anything. Just being able to lift off and take my path towards the stars.”

Wrecker nodded, not being able to find words as he admired you while you talked. You sighed before looking over to him, “Silly, right?”

He shook his head, looking to the sky, “I… it sounds nice. If I weren’t so scared of high places, I’d want to try it.”

You nodded before heading towards the rest of the batch with him.

You looked over the data on the computer, rapidly typing. Omega was rushing around the ship doing who knows what, but you hardly minded. She was a kid and you knew she had more energy than the batch combined. Well, at least four out of five of them combined because Wrecker was nearly unmatched when it came to excitement. You continued your work until you heard Wrecker’s familiar footsteps approaching you.

“Hello, Wrecker.” You greeted without looking up.

“Uh-I-Hi, ad’ika.”

“You alright?”

“Yeah. I just-” He huffed, looking around awkwardly. His shuffling caused you to turn in concern.

“Wreck? What’s up?”

He laughed sheepishly, “The other night, while we were on top of the ship. You-you mentioned dancing…”

You close down the stuff you were working on to give him your full attention, “Yes...?”

“Well-Well, I was wondering… I was wondering--dank farrik! Nevermind.” He turned to walk away, flustered.

“No, wait!” You grasped his wrist--well, what you could grab--before speaking, “Are you asking me to teach you how to dance?”

He hesitated before nodding gently, “Yeah…”

You smiled, “Okay. I’d love to teach you.”

He grinned, “Really?”

“Of course, Wrecker.”

“Okay! Okay, great!” He laughed before heading off to another part of the ship.

You set the charges against the metal panel.

“Ok. Charges set. Heading to you now.” You spoke into your communicator while moving through the corridors, trying to avoid any battle droids.

“We’re heading towards the east hangar, stay on guard.” Hunter responded.

You found doors to a lift and went to the panel, “Tech, I need help with a lift on floor-”

“Hey! What are you doing here?” A battle droid called, followed by a few others.

“Kriff,” You muttered, pulling out your blaster, “Nevermind with the lift.”

“Get them!” The battle droid ordered.

“Which one of us do you want to do it?” Another battle droid questioned.

“Any!”

The lift opened and Wrecker stepped out with his large gun before shooting them down.

“Let’s go, ad’ika!”

You nodded and rushed through the halls with him before making it to the hangar.

“The charges should be off right... Now!” You called, hearing a loud boom.

“Get on the ship!” Hunter called, picking Omega up and carrying her with him. He, Omega, Tech, and Crosshair got on the ship, where Echo was waiting. You and Wrecker were trying to delay the battle droids.

“Come on, Wreck!”

“Right behind you!”

You got in and Wrecker was right at your tail before shutting the door. You both looked at each other before laughing.

“I could hardly say that a near death experience is funny.” Tech scoffed.

“It was exhilarating! C’mon, Tech, where’s your sense of adventure?” You grinned, taking a seat as the Marauder left the planet’s atmosphere. Wrecker laughed and sat next to you.

“I think this earns us a drink at 79’s!”

“Wrecker, we can’t take Omega into 79’s.” Hunter explained, “She’s too young.”

“Oh, yeah…”

You laughed before walking into the cockpit and overtaking the controls Tech was working on, “I know a place we can go. Won’t take more than 5 parsecs to get there.” You input the coordinates before sitting down. Tech looked to Echo before nodding and going back to the ship’s controls.

You walked down the barren streets of the town, the Batch following close behind you. The lot of you arrived at a worn out building and you walked through the door. The others looked around the near empty Cantina then looked to each other with confusion.

“This is the place?” Hunter questioned and you nodded with a smile.

“Yeah, serves some great drinks!” You walked up to the bar and spoke to the rusting bar droid. The Batch took a seat at one of the booths, still examining the place. Omega looked around also and saw multiple Loth cats roaming throughout the cantina. She got up and started to play with a few of them on the ground. You had finally come back with a tray of drinks and food.

“There you go!” You grinned, “Come eat, Omega. Also, try not to feed them, they won’t leave you alone after.”

She nodded, taking her seat and popping food into her mouth. You took a seat next to Wrecker, looking around the bar.

“How’d you know about this place?” Echo wondered.

“My parents used to work in the trade business. I’d go with them off-world sometimes and they liked coming here after.”

“Is it always this...lively?” Omega giggled.

You shook your head, “There used to be more people, but then they stopped coming around after a separatist attack. Even my parents. They were scared because the Republic never paid attention to planets like this.”

The rest of them nodded, enjoying their drinks and food. You smiled as you watched them, happy to share a piece of your past with them. You then turned to the small music droid that sat in the corner. You got up before crouching down in front of it to turn it on. It had a radio built into it, and you were sure that your home planet would be broadcasting their music around this time. Once it started playing clearly through the speaker, you rushed back to the booth and started pulling at Wrecker.

“C’mon, c’mon!” You laughed.

“Wh-What?”

“You told me you wanted me to teach you to dance!”

“I-yeah, but not here!”

“We can’t do it on the ship! C’mon, Wrecker, before the song ends!”

He grunted as you pulled him out of the booth and stood with him.

“Just watch me, okay?”

He nodded, extremely flustered and looking back at his brothers, who were watching closely with sly smiles. You circled around Wrecker with a rhythm to your step.

“C’mon, Wrecker. This one just so happens to be a partner dance!” You laughed, still moving. He nodded and cautiously copied you, watching your feet and his own so as not to trip. You grinned as he mirrored your movements, then grabbed his arms.

“Now, place your arms like this…” You positioned them gently before placing your hand in one of his hands, “Let me lead for now, okay?”

“I… I don’t know, ad’ika…”

“It’s alright!” You assured before pulling him along with him. The boys cheered and laughed almost mockingly, which caused Omega to smack them upside the head.

“You guys are next!” You teased as you looked over your shoulder. They all started to stammer and their posture turned tense. You looked back up at Wrecker as he still looked at your feet.

“Chin up, Wreck.” You smiled, hooking his chin gently. He looked at you and laughed gently.

“How-how am I doing?”

“You're getting there.” You shrugged. The music started to die down, so you and him came to a stop. You laughed as the two of you pulled away.

“It’s been so long since I’ve done that!”

“It was bad.” Wrecker groaned.

“Oh, Wreck, don’t say that!”

“You just gotta… practice?” Omega tried to reassure him, but the others were snickering quietly.

The two of you made it back to your seats and continued drinking. After a bit, you all headed back to the Havoc Marauder. You sat in one of the chairs while the others occupied themselves. You were looking over your holopad when Wrecker took a seat next to you.

“Ad’ika?”

“Yes, Wrecker?” You looked up at him.

“I was wondering… could we keep practicing?”

“What do you mean?”

“When we have time, could you still teach me how to dance?”

You smiled gently, “Of course, Wrecker…”

Hunter gathered some fruits from the trees to have some actual food on the ship. He eyed Wrecker lifting Omega onto his shoulder so she could reach the fruits also, then there was rustling behind him. He looked to see you with a full basket and a smile on your face.

“This enough for us?”

He looked at you then the basket in slight shock, but then nodded, “Looks good. Let’s get back to the Marauder, everyone!”

The rest of the Batch looked over in your direction before trodding over. You all walked through the forest, laughing and talking. Wrecker went to you and passed you Omega, who now sat on your shoulders.

“Wow, I never realized you’re almost as tall as Wrecker!”

You nodded, “I think he beats me by a few inches, but almost!”

“Are you gonna get any taller?”

“I don’t think so.” You looked up at her as she reached for the low branches, causing some leaves and petals to fall over you. Hunter looked at you, admiring how the petals fell into your hair.

“She and Wrecker would make great pillars for the citadel.” Crosshair joke which caused Wrecker to shove him.

“Shut up, Crosshair!”

“He just doesn’t like how you look down on him.” Echo chuckled, which caused Crosshair to glare at him as the rest of the Batch laughed.

You hid behind the tree, looking towards Hunter, who was also hiding. He nodded, grabbing his knife and moving meticulously so as not to be seen by any droids. You held your blaster close, trying to keep an eye on him just in case any surprises occurred. You moved quietly to get a better view of the clearing where the droids were guarding your target. Tech and Echo were up at the cliff, trying to disable some distant weaponry and distract any scouts. Crosshair was with them so he’d be in a good sniping position while Wrecker and Omega manned the ship. You looked around as Hunter managed to get past the droids and man the package. However, as he was focusing on the target, you eyed some approaching droids coming from over the hill. You moved quickly before firing towards them, which caused the other droids to attack and destroy their own. Hunter rushed to you before pulling you through the forest with him.

“We have the package, once you get yours, head back to the Marauder!” Hunter spoke into his comm while you shot at the droids chasing you.

“Wrecker, Omega, we’re coming to you with some company!”

“Got it, Hunter!” Omega responded.

The both of you arrived at the Havoc Marauder and shot at the droids approaching the ship.

“So much for a stealth mission!”

“What were you even shooting at?”

“Battle droids you wouldn’t have been able to see!”

The droids were hit with rapid blasts and you turned to see Wrecker with his large blaster.

“Get in!”

“Tech, Echo, what’s your status?”

“Package retrieved, heading to the Marauder now!” Echo responded.

“Almost at the ship, thanks for asking.” Crosshair remarked.

You climbed on top of the ship and shot at droids approaching from the other side, “Be careful! The ship’s nearly surrounded.”

“Don’t worry, I see you nice and clear, lamppost.”

You rolled your eyes, still trying to deter the approaching droids as Echo and Tech got into the clearing along with Crosshair. You all managed to get into the ship as it started to take off.

“Sorry, guys! We needed to get out of there!” Omega called from the cockpit.

“Oh, by the stars!” Tech cried in a panicked tone as he rushed to the pilot’s seat.

You were working on some wiring under one of the ship’s computers. Then you heard Tech call for you, which caused you to leave your task and find him in the cockpit.

“Can you help me with this? The panel was rusting so I wanted to replace it, but now I can’t get this in.”

You nodded before looking at where he was talking about. He handed you the tools as you worked on the panel. Once you finished, Tech sighed.

“Thank you so much, I was worried if I left it the wiring would get corroded.”

“It’s no problem, Tech.”

You walked out of the cockpit and saw Hunter sitting in one of the seats, twirling his knife around. You took the seat next to him and moved your hand to caress the back of his hair.

“Are you alright, love?”

He looked at you with a nod before smiling, “You’re really good with Omega…”

You shrugged, sitting back, “I guess. I mean, I wouldn’t treat her like how I treat the others.”

“What do you mean?”

“I treat the others like they’re brothers to me. I roughhouse with them and such. With Omega, she is like my little sister who I want to spoil rotten and help grow.”

He nodded, placing his elbows on his thighs and leaning over his legs, getting lost in thought. “Hunter? Are you alright?”

He hummed, but you furrowed your brows and copied his seating position, “Hunter… you know you could tell me.”

He looked at you again, taking a moment, then sighing, “I… wish to give you everything.”

His comment caused you to tilt your head in confusion, “What do you mean?”

“Seeing you with Omega, and the way you looked in the forest... You are such an-an amazing being. I-I don’t know what it is. I know Crosshair makes fun of your height and sometimes he makes jokes about our height differences, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.” He stood and offered his hand so you could stand as well, “I love looking up at you this way, seeing just you and the sky. It makes you nearly ethereal…”

You looked away, a burning blush taking over your cheeks, “Hunter… where is this all coming from?”

“I’m not sure, but I felt like you had to know.”

You both sat again and you sighed.

“I know I’ve told you this… but when I was young, I was always taller than the people I grew up with. This would cause a lot of teasing or else people would be too scared to talk to me at all. I never wanted to use my height as an advantage over others or to threaten anyone, so I tried to act smaller than I look. That’s why I don’t really deny Crosshair’s teasing or jokes because I don’t want him to see me as a threat. When you and I started to date, I was afraid that once people saw me, they didn’t see you as this great leader… but as my pet.”

“Mesh’la…”

“But I knew it wasn’t going to be like that because you didn’t show any sign of insecurity about my height. Even before you and I got together, you would talk to me like a normal person and didn’t care about the stares people would give when seeing us together.”

He nodded with a smile, “I guess… I’ve gotten used to it because I grew up with Wrecker and around the Kaminoans… people being taller than me isn’t something unusual. Even Crosshair and Tech are a bit taller than me.”

You nodded, taking his hand in yours gently.

“I guess… if you need a pillar, then I’m the one for the job.”

Hunter couldn’t help but chuckle before cupping your cheek and moving your head down so he could place a gentle kiss on your forehead.

Awwww I love this idea sm! You've basically laid it out but i can just imagine Hunter being a little bit insecure about doing stuff like that at first.

But maybe they do more things where Hunter is the "smaller" one like:

Hunter being little spoon and he eats that shit up

Tall s/o being on the bottom when laying in bed, like Hunter laying between her legs and his head on their chest and stuff

Another thing could be like looking at something on a holopad together and Hunter sitting between S/O's legs as they lay their head on his shoulder

Or even giving Hunter a piggy back if he's SUPER overstimulated or if he gets hurt during a mission
