A/n: I’ve been waiting sooooo long to use this part of the movie in my story AHSFDWHFSJKEFH. Anyways...hope you enjoy. It’s not edited so I'm sorry if it's incomprehensible. Also, please listen to the song I linked while reading! Parts of the script are not mine, so full credit to the writer of the original script.
Änee leaped over the tree branches that had fallen on the floor and Jake did the same, running behind her. They had distanced themselves from the ceremony wanting to relieve the tension that had formed between them. She hoped that opening her heart to him by showing him her sacred place would help reassure him.
She guided him towards a clearing in the woods, a green sparkling pond in the middle surrounded by those purple trees he admired the last time he met with her. She walked around the pond as Jake stood there, watching her hips move. She bent down, dipping her hand in the water and welcoming the fish that inhabited it. The white dots on her skin glowed as the darkness enveloped the sky. She turned her head to look at Jake as he was now looking around at the trees.
“This was my home when I was an infant. My friends and I would gather here every morning before breakfast to clean ourselves and play around in the water. I find it replenishing whenever I come back here. As if every day takes something from me but the lepay brings it back,” (water) She stood back up, reaching behind her neck with her hands. She slowly untied her bralette letting it fall on the floor.
“Oh,” Jake’s mouth fell open. He quickly turned to the side, placing his arm over his eyes. No matter how curious he was, he was respectful of your privacy. Änee noticed his nervous stance as he was trying his best to avert his eyes from the situation in front of him.
“Nudity should not be inappropriate to you. It’s the way we were conceived and it's only natural to roam freely in our birthed bodies. But you seem to have a problem with that,” She giggled as her eyes fell on the bump on Jake’s bottom cover. He quickly hid it, removing his arm from his eyes. His eyes were on her body again as she removed her skirt and dove into the water. She came back up, the newly formed waves hitting her shoulders.
She looked up and down at him, gesturing that he should join her. And although he felt awkward undressing in front of her, something about how she looked at him brought a sense of comfort to Jake. Jake walked into the pond, feeling bare while she reached up to take his hand. She slowly pulled him in as she reassured him: “Do not feel ashamed, Jake. I am comfortable showing you my vulnerable self and I will happily welcome you into my heart,”
Her words made his eyelashes flutter. He felt like a little girl laying on her bed, kicking her feet back and forth as butterflies formed in her stomach. His spirit lifted and he suddenly felt worry depart him. She led him closer to her and let go of his hand when he was close enough for her to feel his breath. She placed both of her hands on his chest.
“Calm your heart. Close your eyes and listen to the water.” Jake followed her commands and breathed heavily. His heart was beating so fast he could not even think straight. She caressed his skin with her thumb, the most comforting feeling to Jake. He felt his heart slow down as her hands went up to his face, her fingers running over his lips. He heard the water move as she moved closer to him. He could feel her breath on his neck before she placed soft kisses all over his skin.
“Calm you will find in here. It has to be from the inside. Looking for it elsewhere will result in failure,” She spoke softly. Her eyes stared into his once he opened his eyes. He tucked a piece of her hair in the back of her ear, revealing her serene face.
“Thank you, Änee. You’re magical,” She chuckled and swam a few feet away from him.
“You are stupid, Jake,” She laughed as he opened his mouth in shock. He splashed her with the water, giggles erupting from both of them.
“Stop it!” Änee stopped as she accepted defeat. With her hand on her stomach, she leaned on the edge of the pond, swaying her legs in the water. Jake, on the other hand, was swimming around the pond looking down at his feet as the fish swarmed them. Änee looked at him for a moment and Jake turned around to ask her a longing question.
“How do mates work exactly?” She dipped her head in the water, soaking her hair, and cleared her throat.
“Mating is an internal process. You mate with the one that feels right. One that is worthy of being in your life forever. Once you have chosen each other, you will mate before Eywa under the tree of voices. There are many women for you to choose from. Nuyä, who you have already met, is known for her beauty and grace. You should choose someone talented. Talented as Ninat, who is the best singer,” She rubbed her hands on the surface of the water, creating patterns on it. Jake stared at her as she suggested possible mates for him.
“I don’t want Ninat,” He walked towards her, forming bubbles in the water.
“Bey’ral is the best hunter,” She continued oblivious to how close they were. He nodded.
“Yes, she is. But, I have already chosen,” Äwee looked up at him, tilting her head to the side as her eyes softened.
“But this woman must also choose me,” She smiled, revealing her fangs as she realized who he was referring to.
“She already has,” She stared down at his lips and he brought his hand up to caress her cheek. He tilted his head to the side as he leaned it to her. His lips touched her soft ones and they moved together to form a soft kiss.
