You’re absolutely right. And it CAN be justified that he was heartbroken and that lead him to do that.. which is why I can see Chat trusting Marinette with that information.

But that’s exactly why the scene left me in disbelief and shock. Adrien knows and trusts Marinette. Adrien sees her every day at school. Not Chat.
