Raga Recommends: Tree Wisdom Cards. This week's rec is an oracle deck, based on trees and the messages they hold. I picked up this deck because the artwork is absolutely gorgeous! In fact, since it came from England, I got both this and a flower deck at the same time to save on shipping. I had seen pics of the deck before, but it's even better in person. There are 55 cards in total, each one with a unique personality. In fact, each tree has a person/being hidden within the tree itself. Some are more obvious than others, but it's fun seeing what tree looks like what. The color is selective and befitting to each of the trees. Can you tell I'm in love with the artwork? As for how it reads, I'm getting more and more accustomed and liking cards that have messages on the back. There's a part of me that doesn't like something being there, because it might influence some of my intuitive reading. But it's nice having a concise message to be able to refer to. The back of each card has what tree it is with a small write up about the meaning of the card. (No little white book to refer back to, just the messages on the card itself.) Also, on the front of the card you may be able to see in the pic that there are keywords to help guide you toward it's meaning. I haven't done many readings with this deck yet, but the card stock is excellent. The cards themselves may be a little big for smaller hands, but I didn't have any problem handling them.
