On the matter of "true artists"
According to facebook, you can only be an artist if you went to college for it. Only "true artists" do that and also, they should be the only ones allowed to post their art online. Sorry guiZ.
In all seriousness, I completely disagree. If you want to create, then create, my friends! Nothing should hold you back and no one should hold you back. I'm not going to label a Communications major as a hipster just because he or she tried painting or drawing. Art separates us from the other animals, even our ancient cousins, so if you're a human and you want to make art, make art! I'm not going to judge you by your career or lifestyle and call you a poser and no one should. And if you paint and hate it but at least have an appreciation for what you've done, then hey, at least you experienced it. Art isn't some secret club to me and I welcome everyone to join. And yes, I went to college for art. And yes, I think most who go there are too pompous for their own good. EVERYBODY PAINT!
