Ruby — Something that gives them strength.
[Oddly enough, his visual handicap. In his younger days, he would lapse into bouts of self-pity and helplessness because he believed himself incapable of doing anything worthwhile; he literally managed to defeat himself before he even tried. Over time, though, he realized that to keep up with another’s “average" he would need to adapt and work that much harder in order to match those basic accomplishments — and, eventually, surpass them altogether. Because of his poor vision, he pushes himself to the limit in any other way he can in order to recover lost ground, and because he uses his “handicap" as a motivational tool rather than a reason for self-depreciation, Fang has discovered that even he can have his own use.]
Peridot — Their worst nightmare?
[Failing to protect his family — even moreso than failing Glen. Though, yes, Fang feels loyalty towards his master, the actual love and affection he harbors for Lily, Lottie, and Dug eclipses that fealty entirely. Should they ever come to harm (or worse, be killed), that damage would be tantamount to destroying him, as well.]
Rose Quartz — How they display affection.
[Fang can be a bit tricky here. For the most part, he cannot help but be boisterous and playful in the presence of young Lily (and Lottie and Dug should they be present, too). He openly showers her with affection: piggyback rides, hair tousling, time spent reading and drawing together, kisses upon the top of her head… Truly, if it will make Lily smile, no matter how ridiculous he must behave, he will do it for her. His affection for his adult peers, though, is far more reserved. Dug and he have something more akin to a brotherly bond, but most of the love passed between them is expressed in silent gestures. Lottie… Well, he would never deny her physical closeness should she wish for it, but he seldom initiates it himself. Fang manages to conceal his deeper affection for her, knowing full well that she does not look at him the same way. Were he free to do so, he would idly toy with her hair and hold her hand ever so gently — and kiss the top of her head, too.]
Lapis Lazuli — Would they be a faithful partner?
